New bottle pending from Coke?

posted in coca-cola |

Coke is already test-marketing aluminum bottles, (see what they look like here) but Coke also has a different aluminum bottle design (shown at right) listed at the United States Patent and Trademark Office. The trademark, filed in July of 2005, specifies the silver bottle and white text - a color combination that isn’t present in any of the test-marketed bottles.

Does anyone know anything about this?

With the “green” attitude going around I do not understand the Mass beverage makers going to an Aluminum bottle. These are usually thicker than the tin and therefore more expensive. Furthermore, I highly doubt that there is at least an 80% recycle rate.
Does it make sense to do it?

Just my gut feeling. The aluminum bottles will please many Coca Cola collectors and bomb at retail outlets and bars.
At least in the USA,soda pop drinkers are brain: a can of soda pop should be at least 12oz and that a can of soda pop should be able to fit into one’s hand and or car cup holder with great ease.

I think the aluminum bottle coke is a great idea. Looking at the collection of the three bottle samples with different colors will attract the customers more. It is a great way to show different taste of the cola if it is cherry flavored, vanilla flavored, diet or not diet flavored. This new product is perfect fit for hand, also on a cars. Selling this new aluminum coke bottle will have high percentage of great demand in any retail stores.
