Peppo was the Coca-cola company's first imitation Dr Pepper type drink. It was introduced in the early 1970's and then replaced quickly with Mr Pibb in 1972 because of law suit filed by the Dr Pepper Co. against Coke claiming that the name "Peppo" sounded too much like Dr. Pepper.
