Folks I have big news to report, and I'm reporting this with a sugar high.
Apparently Cleveland Ohio Coca Cola Bottling switched over all their production to Sucrose/Cane Sugar a few months ago. These are not labeled Kosher for Passover--they are all made by plant "CD".
I drove to Cleveland today to pick up Kosher cans from Heinens in Pepper Pike. On the way there I stopped at Costco and I was just checking a case of their cans to see where they were produced. Low and behold I glanced at the ingredients and it contains sucrose, NOT HFCS.
I then went to another store, Giant Eagle in Mayfield Heights, and none of their 12oz cans or 2L bottles of Coke/Cherry Coke contain HFCS. (they also had 12oz 6pks Coke/Diet in the Kosher for Passover Section)
I went to Heinens and after loading some Kosher 12oz coke (And 2L Kosher Pepsi for a friend), I bought a couple six packs of 10oz Coke GLASS bottles with Sucrose. Yippee.
Sensing a trend, I checked a walmart in Mayfield Heights on the way home.
They had fridge packs, 2L, and 16.9oz bottles all with Sucrose only. I bought a can out of their machine, and--Sucrose!
I only saw this on Coke and Cherry Coke. The clear products (Canada Dry/Sprite) still list HFCS, despite being made in the same facility (CD).
