The long and the short is that for both KP sugar and KP diet soda pop,
the production line (complete bottling process) has to be cleaned and
inspected by a Rabbi to make sure it is meets the laws of Kashrut for Passover.
The artificial sweetner (aspartame ???) is kosher for passover.
Corn syrup is considered to be a "leavened" food. By the laws of Kashrut
foods (foods that rise) are not KP.
This is a very quick explanation. I may have not gotten some of the details
right. It does give an general over view of KP.
