Just about every energy drink states it is not intended for minors. Some companies/retailers are realizing the potential backlash, or shall I say, the legal ramifications, if they sell to minors.
Similar to the post ephedra ban and retailers being sued after the product was taken off the market some retailers are just now seeing the potential for future lititgation if they go down the same path with selling energy drinks to minors.
