A few months back, I went on a beverage road trip and someone here suggested I look for Barqs Red Cream Soda and I fell in love with it. When I ran out of my 12-packs, I wanted to go back and get some more but it is too far away. Here in Canada, we cannot find it anywhere and I thought about ordering some online but didnt. Yesterday, I stopped at 7-11 to get gas and low and behold guess what I found...

Barqs Red Cream Soda Slurpee!

That should tide me over until I go on the next road trip!

michigan has the highest rate of slurpee consumption in the world. metro detroit is the highest concentration in michigan. i've been to 7-11s with 16 and 20 heads for slurpees. super slevens. they are amazing. somehow i keep going back to cherry though! blueberry, orange, vailla coke, cvdp, blue raspberry are all good too.

And I though it was a big deal to find 6 slurpee flavors around here!

Now, if I could just find a place with FANTA Red Cream slurpees...

My local 7-11 has 6 heads. I have seen a few other local 7-11's have 8 heads. All I care is about is the Coke head and the biggest size slurpee cups.

Since I was about 10 years old I think I have had a slurpee only twice.

Royal Farms (c-store chain in MD/DE) has frozen Vault now.

Many of you probably dont know, but slurpees in Canada are far different that in the US. The US version is more 'frothy' like a Icee whereas in Canada it is like really-cold uncarbonated pop with ice crystals in it. Make sense?

You go into a 7-11 for a Slurpee and inevitably have to settle for the one flavor that is actually working (usually lime, or the least popular flavor). With all the advances in refrigeration technology, you'd think they would have developed a more reliable slurpee maker by now.

But when they work...MMMMMMMmmmmMMM

I feel your pain. It's usually when the weather is super hot and sticky. :( You walk into a ice cold 7-11 only to find that the Slurpee (all heads) are not working. Man does that piss me off. A cold bottle of water or a A-List soda pop just does not satisfy as a ice cold Slurpee.

I swear I would pay double for it....don't tell 7-11. LOL As of now the largest Slurpee is around $2.00 or so. Man what a bargain. LOL

Where do you go for a frozen slurpee type of drink. I can't beleive that Wisconsin does not have a simular drink. LOL

7-11's all gone, but slurpee's they are good but the soda flavored ones are just ice with soda and once you suck out the flavor you have ice.

Well the 7-11 slurpees when properly mixed and frozen are all sweet thin icy coke. I had one last week that was YUMMY all the way to the very bottom. There is nothing so refreshing as a good 7-11 coke slurpee. smile.gif
