The new logo sprite has been in OKC for about 1 month now.

05-21-2006, 07:55 PM
i haven't seen the new logo in NYC yet.

i noticed that mcdonald's added the new silvery diet coke labels to their fountains recently though. maybe sprite is next.

05-21-2006, 08:44 PM
We had the transitional labels with the new lymon thing peeking through for a few weeks, and then the new label 20oz started coming in the middle of last week.

we have had nothing so far...

05-22-2006, 12:39 AM
I seen the new Sprite zero 12 pack cartons but the regular Sprite still has the old logo.

I've seen the new Sprite logos everywhere out here in Orange County, but haven't seen the new Sprite Zero yet, still the Diet Sprite Zero old logo stuff.

05-23-2006, 01:15 PM
is it still "diet sprite zero"... or is it just "sprite zero" now?

from what i've noticed, drinks aimed at males (sprite, vault, coke zero) are using the "zero" tag. and the others are using "diet."

05-23-2006, 10:08 PM
Just Sprite Zero.

05-23-2006, 10:54 PM
so, basically, only diet coke (and its variations) are using "diet" over at coca-cola now. interesting.

ok, finally we got the transition label today in 20 oz bottles, along with new logo fanta orange 20 oz's... took long enough

05-24-2006, 08:49 PM
Are they actually going to use the term "Lymon" in adverts? Because it sounds oddly like the name of a part of the female anatomy...

05-24-2006, 09:10 PM
Lymon is an old Sprite word.

I hate sprite but the packaging looks good. I'll give it that. smile.gif

05-24-2006, 11:02 PM
it seems that over the years they've changed the background of the logo from green to blue.

looks good.

We are transitioning from the old package to the new one, as the production facilities use up their old labels, cans, and boxes.

Hartford CT (KH) has new can wraps, but old cans (we had to import a lot of stuff due to the holiday). Baltimore MD (BT) has new cans, but old wraps. 20oz from Silver Spring MD (SS) is new on both brands, and 16.9oz from Richmond VA (RM) is new on Sprite Zero, but old on Sprite. I even saw a case that was the last one to have the old labels, since at least one of the six packs was half "Diet Sprite Zero" and half "Sprite Zero."

05-30-2006, 08:12 PM
It's about time, and looks pretty cool too! The old label I would see on cans and stuff always would say "copyright 1994" that is pretty damn long the old look has survived, though it wasn't bad.

05-30-2006, 08:54 PM
Well, there were a few temporary new looks on Sprite, like the camo 20oz last year, and the clear LeBron 2 liters.

The new and sublymonal ads are now available at announce.coca-cola.com

IMO... the new Sprite commercials are more weird... and less pimp'd as we were accustomed :D
(looks like made in Japan)

The grocery add for Dominick's(Safe Way) had a very nice picture of the new Sprite lable. It showed the 2ltr bottles. I will try and put up the picture when the add is put on line tomorrow.

The new ad campain is wierd and pretty damn cool! smile.gif

The new ads were a much needed makeover. Still no sign of the new logo here yet.

anyone got a pic of the sprite zero label?

I've already seen the 16.9oz 6pks and 20oz loose. I just wish they'd make this in the 12oz 8pk PETs, it would do well.

06-05-2006, 09:07 PM
9 packs? Is that a typo?

06-05-2006, 10:53 PM
thanks for the pics, fusion.

interesting how sprite is using the green bottle, but sprite zero is using clear. is that how it's always been?

the new logos finally started showing up here this past weekend.

06-06-2006, 07:16 AM
They started using the clear bottle when they switched the name from Diet Sprite to Diet Sprite Zero.

06-06-2006, 11:33 AM
i saw the new logo the other week... except... it was diagonal. i wonder if that's a regional (nyc) thing.

Saw both the "new" sprite and sprite zero in 12 packs in St. Louis. (Both the cans and the paper box) No 2 litres though.

wow...that picture up there is HUGE

06-07-2006, 03:10 PM
I hadn't heard anything about 8pk Sprite Zero. I did hear they were expanding the lineup on that package, but nothing specific on flavors.

06-07-2006, 05:44 PM
It's a package that's picking up a lot of momentum for us. We finally got CF Diet Coke in for the first time a few days ago.

I finally brought a liter of Sprite with the new label. I have to agree with MrR. IMO...this new design will create the perception that Sprite is in it's own bran category.

I like the design. It's bold. It's modern but still has a conservative old school feel to it. As I looked at it for a while, the design became more appealing to me. I think finally the Coca Cola marketing/bran management have taken a positive step in the right direction.

MrZ... it's a silver label like the ones from the pictures at www2.coca-cola.com or regular?...

New Sprite Design (http://announce.coca-cola.com/new_sprite/index.html)

MrR, I was not sure what you meant. Here is a link that I copied from one of your posts. This is the design of the 1 ltr bottle that I drank this evening. smile.gif

06-10-2006, 04:43 AM
I think he wants to know if it is a silver "foul" label like Diet Coke has right now on there 20oz. bottles.

Mr Zabe
06-10-2006, 10:44 AM
It's has a siver band on the bottom and top of the lable as in the above link. In answer to your question, I have not been paying attention to Diet Coke as I have been on a major sugar soda pop binge for the past year or so.

I wish I could have been of more help. smile.gif

06-10-2006, 03:02 PM
diet coke's new label is metallic silver... almost like a mirror.

i've only seen it used on 20 oz bottles so far though.

Count on it NS! smile.gif but there's still the current label here, and once I wrote to Coca-Cola to ask them if the new label would appear in the international markets, and they told me that the new label will be avaliable only in U.S. for now...

But if someday appears in Mexico, I'll keep you up to date... :D
