View Full Version : Looking for a good Orange Cream Soda

I love Dreamsicles, the orange and cream taste is heaven. Does anyone know where I can get an excellent orange cream soda? That resembles the smooth taste of a dreamsicle but in drink form?

And this is besides the point...but who sells Cadbury Cream Eggs year round?

You want Dreamsicles? You want Sprecher Orange Dream! http://www.sprecherbrewery.com/soda.php Sprecher is a microbrewery in Wisconsin, and they make one of the tastiest Orange Cream sodas on the market. They have, in my opinion, THE best standard cream soda on the market as well. It has Wisconsin honey and vanilla added to the cream soda.

As a second, I go for Goose Island's Orange Cream Soda http://www.bevnet.com/reviews/gooseisland/ mainly because I used to sell it when I worked at Famous Dave's BBQ, and it is made with REAL CANE SUGAR. Yes, real sugar. It's wonderful.

Is it odd that my favorites are from microbreweries? Not at all! I am a microbeer guy also.

I'm not sure if they're out your way but my first choice for orange cream is Boylan's http://www.boylanbottling.com/ and second choice is Hank's http://www.hanks-rootbeer.com/ .

Try Dad's Orange Cream soda. Big Lots is carrying the 1 liters. You can go to http://www.biglots.com to find a store near you. They don't carry it in states which require a bottle deposit. Jim

try Scream from Sexkola http:www.sexkola.com

If you go to Big Lots looking for Dad's (which is pretty good) also look for Briar's in the 1 liter glass bottle. I found one there a couple of weeks ago here in Central MD. It may just be here on the east coast. Natural flavor and 100% cane sugar make for an excellent, but very sweet, orange cream.

I really like Henry Weinhard's Cream Soda. It's sorta unique but if you look you should be able to find it.

You haven't had a Orange Cream Soda until you have had a Spring Grove Orange Cream! Unfortunatly they only are sold in southern Minnesota.

I would recommend Stewarts. It truly has that dreamsicle taste. It also comes in diet.

Weinhardts, Boylans, and Stewarts are all excellent choices and all can be found in the Salt Lake / West Valley area.

I have no idea about the Cadbury eggs, however. They disappear from here right after Easter.
