Dr Pepper is bringing back the extra point (21oz) bottles for 2005, and Cherry Vanilla (reg + diet) are also being sold in these bottles.

Anyone seen any yet?

Is it some sort of a football promotion? Adding an extra ounce doesn't seem like much of a big deal. hehe

Southland stores have it in the Dallas area.....per the bottlers agreement Southland gets a 2 week head start on it before the rest of the market.

I'm influenced by things that appear to appeal to my addiction to pop. If it was a flavor on my A list, I would buy the 21oz of bottle Dr Pepper Cherry Vanilla just because of that extra ounce. LOL That's just me.

I was wondering if they were going to bring back that promotion this year. I'm looking forward to getting the other flavors in that size for my collection.

Hey I don't like Dr. Pepper but I might buy one of the 21 oz.'s just for the bottle. LOL

The 21oz football bottles are here but they do not advertise the extra ounce like they did last year.

An extra ounce is extremely stupid.

The extra ounce does come into play for the consumer especially when they realize that it is priced at least 10 cents and as much as 20 -30 cents cheaper than Coke and Pepsi in the independent channel. This can't be any worse than Pepsi selling 14oz cans that do not look any different than regular 12 oz cans.

We get no break in SW Ohio - Dr. Pepper is still bottled by Pepsi locally and sells for Pepsi prices. I'd love Dr. Pepper at 7up prices!!

All I did was use RunwithDaLilGuy's quote to make a point of my own. If you can see that was in bold print which means I was quoting what someone else said. What I said isn't in bold. Maybe if you took the time to notice the small details you wouldn't have made a mistake in blaming me for what someone else said.

RWDLG, If you say that here in Mexico in front of them, the soccer fans would probably kick your... considering that some of them have a real bad behavior...

some call that passion, or stupid.

the extra point marketing campaign is a great and creative tool in combining with the college and pro football seasons. i haven't seen free pop given out in a package like this for quite sometime. you'd have to go back to the old 16oz cans that they rarely use nowadays. i thought your comments regarding this, simply saying it was stupid, was stupid. and the soccer comment was in regards to your apparent misunderstanding of the reason the extra "point," or ounce, was given.

hey jack and runwithdalilguy and everyone else. No hard feelings, I understand that sometimes people get mixed up, and I just came down a little to hard. So, no problems here. People just make mistakes sometimes and its cool.
