No More Soft Drinks for Me

Apparently acid reflux cannot be cured and can only be controlled with diet and avoiding certain things.

The 2 worst things you can do that affect acid reflux are smoking and...

Carbonated beverages.

I gave up smoking earlier this year, but I've been naughty about stopping the soda thang. I've been stocking up at Yum for my wife as well as the occasional item for myself.

So I guess while you guys get to explore the soda universe unfettered, I have to watch from the sidelines.

Oh well...

AssClown, may I recommend getting some kind of medication to control it, then drinking soda in moderation? Maybe extreme moderation, but anything is better than "never again." Maybe one a week or something.

The problem with the medicines for acid reflux is that while they save your esophagus, they do long-term damage to your stomach.

I absolutely love Dr. Pepper, but everytime I have one it totally macks me up.

I still drink non-carb stuff, though...
