We received shelf tags for this today.

10-03-2006, 08:25 AM
cool i havent heard about this coming soon yet - i bet its going taste good

10-03-2006, 03:03 PM
Big Whoop! Im a Pepsi product fan, and anything but COKE type of person, but Im not liking the product decisions they've been making lately.

10-05-2006, 01:05 AM
Some of the local Wal-Marts have the stuff on the shelf right now. Not bad but pretty ho-hum and nothing like the (Pepsi formulated) 7up version from Canada- Back to the drawing board.

none here, yet.

10-08-2006, 09:13 PM
It's on our shelves and we are not a Walmart.

10-13-2006, 04:16 PM
i got some at a store that wasn't walmart also, i think its pretty good.

10-13-2006, 04:34 PM
I found it in 2-liter bottles at my college's convenience store, but I'm holding out until I see 20 oz. bottles.

I bought a 2 liter at wally world today for 78 cents. Had some when I got home, I was pretty impressed. Smells like a sweetart, looks really syrupy red, but it drinks very light, i mean verry light. It wasn't overpowering like I thought it would be. Just another extension I like, that will eventually go away

anyway, pretty good stuff!

Sort of a stupid question; how did the lemon lime flavor notes seem to you. I will try it for sure but if that nasty quasi lemon lime taste peaks through the cranberry taste, I will dump the bottle down the drain ASAP.

(Sorry I hate S.M. LOL)

I saw it at Work (Price Chopper.)

10-14-2006, 08:16 PM
This stuff is hot 4 out of 5!

10-14-2006, 11:40 PM
picked this up today at wal-mart and it's not bad. i'm not big on citrus soda's, so i'll give it a 3 out of 5. it's decent.

I forgot about this.
I saw Sierra Mist LEMON. It was in a bright yellow carton. I was not Lemon Lime. Has anyone seen or heard of this. It was kind of weird.

I also saw a great sale. LOL Tropicana lemonade 24 cans for $2.99. The end date was 10/30/06.

was that at woodmans, that sierra mist lemon? if so, i wanna go to our locataion and check it out...

Mr Zabe
10-15-2006, 02:16 AM
Yes, I saw it at the Carpenter's Ville Woodman's.
I was rushed so I did not get a real close look.
The carton (cube) was completely yellow. It was displayed in the middle of the Sierra Mist large Pepsi display. It stood out when I glanced over the display. I think both reg and diet S.M. have the color green on their cartons????

I have searched on Google for this flavor. I can't come up with any info on it. Could this flavor be a test market kind of thing??? I hope I have not created some sort of urban myth.LOL

If Sierra Mist Lemon really exists then I'd love to try it, but I have a feeling that the box was just washed out.

Rob The SURGE Drinker
10-15-2006, 02:52 PM
zabe, was it only one box out of the whole display? or were there more than one? if it was only one, then it was proabaly washed out like mikibacsi said. i have seen some washed out 24's of a&w at our woodmans before. i will proabaly go to woodmans to check it out though.

Ok smile.gif
I recall seeing one facing 3 or 4 high around 6 of cubes. Gosh I hope that I was just freaking out. As a rule I always do a flyby around each large free standing display. smile.gif

This store had two areas of displays. One of each Big Three (large) in the frozen food section. And one each (large) tower like in the soda pop section. I saw the "yellow" SM ?? at the base of the soda pop display.

Please forgive me if I have sent you all on a wiled goose chase. I would never play around with this king of thing.

10-15-2006, 03:59 PM
Or it could have been Sierra Mist Free-The new packaging is a bright Greenish/Yellow, the old was white/grey I believe. I don't know if that would be what you saw

Mr Zabe
10-15-2006, 04:00 PM
That could very well be it. I just had not seen that new color scheme. I hope your right.

10-16-2006, 04:49 PM
Did it look like the CUBE on top of the middle stack. If so then it was Mist Free otherwise your guess is as good as mine...

Mr Zabe
10-16-2006, 04:57 PM
It looked like the middle cube in the top row.
I'm 95% sure. LOL I guess I should take my time and look more closely.
Thanks for the picture. smile.gif

i heard cranberry splash will just be 20oz, 2lts, and 12 packs

10-16-2006, 10:21 PM
i heard cranberry splash will just be 20oz, 2lts, and 12 packs How is this any different than any other new soda that comes out? Most new sodas are not produced in 24 packs until they are a known success and sometimes they never do 24 packs.

10-19-2006, 09:46 PM
i bet it won't be as good as Canada Dry's Cranberry Ginger Ale.

I tried it. It tastes bland and watered down just like regular Sierra Mist. I was hoping for more of a bite.

10-28-2006, 07:09 PM
Saw this today in Fridgemates, wasn't expecting to see this brand in that package in this area. Canned in Johnstown PA by PBG.

10-29-2006, 12:11 AM
Did that POP display have any coupons on it?
I will be going to Woodmans next Saturday, I will
keep an eye out for it. Yes I will pick up a few 20oz if they have them. LOL

My local Chi Town grocery store does not have any POP or product as of yet.

Just bought the 2 litre last night. I will have to say it is ok. Not as good as I was hoping. I found it a bit syrupy, and it tasted like cranberry juice cocktail with carbonated water. Not to say that is bad, but I was hoping it to be a lighter taste going down.

What did you think of it Rob? All of those great pics and no review?

Rob The SURGE Drinker
11-07-2006, 06:57 PM
i have reviewed it once before (i think?) out of a 2 liter. its pretty good, but i was expecting maybe a little more tartness out of the cranberry flavor. overall, a nice limeted editon run for the holidays.

el hombre de los moleculos
11-09-2006, 04:41 PM
i will definately stock up on this for the spring and summer. they've said on their commercials that they will be available during the holidays only. i wish other drinks would make that same commitment and marketing strategy......i.e, holiday spice and pitch black

i was also thinking today about the remix line from sprite. i know it was an attempt to commericalize the "remix" fad, but why not come back out with the flavors and drop the remix part of the name. i.e, tropical sprite?.........dang, i miss that tropical, great soda!! they could make it a summer drink, like livewire.

I just tried it yesterday and I love it.

Although I wish that they hadn't added so much red food coloring to it...

11-12-2006, 02:23 PM
i liked it as well. but canada dry's is much better

11-16-2006, 03:04 AM
I havn't even seen this yet. I have been looking for it. I like Sierra Mist so I hope this is as good.

11-17-2006, 03:57 PM
I got this in the 12 oz. cans after having tried it in the 2 liter bottle. I love this drink - it's very refreshing at the end of the day. I normally don't like cranberry flavored anything - but it's really not overpowering and taste more just like a "berry" flavor rather than cranberry. Too bad it won't be a permanent fixture - it's much better than regular Sierra Mist.

Rob The SURGE Drinker
11-17-2006, 03:59 PM
very much better than regular, jacksmom. i will be definatly stocking up on this one.

I saw it in SoCal but I am not sure how the pull through is of it.

My guess is, it is too early to tell.

I just tried SMC. I really gave it a fair chance. I drank it ice cold from a cup. I did not enjoy it at all. The cranberry flavor was off the mark,IMO. It just did not appeal to me.

11-19-2006, 04:34 PM
Well I tried this today. Bought two 20 oz. since I finally saw them. I could only find it in 2 liters for the last week and didn't want to buy a 2 liter in case I hated it.It's not bad. I usually don't like cranberry especially if it's strong. This isn't bad.I don't think I will drink it every day but would be good when you want something different or something refreshing over the holidays. On a scale of 1 to 10 I give it a 8 because I think the cranberry is still a little strong.I like the colorful packaging though. I would recommend it to anyone wanting to try something different. However I don't think it will be around after Christmas or New Year's.

sierra mist cranberry splash is already gone from my area. it came out in october and hasn't been seen since. i think the distributor thought it was a halloween drink. i've been to about 10 places around the triad area with no luck. not even xmas and it seems they already pulled it

11-30-2006, 07:57 PM
there is no sierra mist lemon,,, i asked a pepsi employee restocking at our winn dixie and he said theres no such thing, but cranberry splash is selling good, and may come back next year.

11-30-2006, 09:05 PM
You can't be serious. Sierra mist is lemon-lime. And what's with the two different accounts?

11-30-2006, 10:20 PM
i kno.. sierra mist is lemon lime but on the first page people talk about Sierra Mist LEMON. not lemon lime.. idk.. and who has 2 accounts?

I just checked the US Patent and Trademark site, and a "Sierra Mist Lemon Squeeze" was listed, so you may be right.

We are all out of Cranberry Splash here. The only place you can still find it is the slow places like C-stores and Targets. I am still getting customers asking me about Holiday Spice!

We sold our last cases this week. There should be some in the trade for another couple of weeks. Until next time....

I finally got to try cranberry splash last week, and I loved it. I haven't seen it sold around where I live anywhere which is pretty dissapointing so I dont know if I will get to try it again. It was a great taste though, a lot better than I expected it to be.

12-05-2006, 12:11 PM
Does anybody know how long this is supposed to be around? It used to be here at our local Wal-Mart and also Macey's, but now it seems to have disappeared. I thought it would have been around at least through Christmas.

12-05-2006, 02:35 PM
Cranberry Splash was set to be in the market through Christmas and out of circulation around New Years. I think this LTO sold better than Pepsi anticipated. I've heard in our office that this is the first LTO that we will completely sell through in the given timeframe. Better get it while you can!

12-05-2006, 04:04 PM
Thanks CstoreCatMan - I think you're right. It's completely gone in my area. I only ever purchased 1 12-pack and maybe 3 2 liters - it was good while it lasted. I wish they'd bring it back permanently - I think it would out-sell regular Sierra Mist!

12-05-2006, 11:26 PM
