View Full Version : Sprite Remix Aruba Jam

Well Beverage Digest is reporting that it will be a orange flaver soda. So I don't think we will ever see Tropical back

hmm, sounds interesting.. i have loved both sprite remix's so far, but dont drink regular soda much, but ill have a 20oz as a treat here and there.
tropical was great, berry clear was great, i expect nothing less of this one.
they'd be smart to start rolling out sprite remix zero's too.
12-17-2004, 01:25 AM
sounds pretty cool. i'm still waiting for a cherry version Sprite though.
12-17-2004, 02:12 AM
Yes that would be good. I really happen to like BerryClear and will be sad to see it go. But really this Sprite Remix Aruba Jam may become a new favorite
12-17-2004, 02:34 AM
This one sounds good. I wasn't expecting to like BerryClear, but it's fantastic, and better than Tropical, which I also really liked (and didn't expect to).

I have also always wanted to try Sprite Ice maybe we could get that.

At the rate they are going with these odd flavor names, could Sprite Remix: Tahitian Flu be far around the corner? smile.gif

:( well it lasted but it is prolly just gonna taste like livewire. I'm not to excited although I'll try it out.

I liked Tropical Remix a little more than Berry Remix, which is not at all, so another change is fine with me. Although an orange flavored Sprite sounds worse than the Berry one. They need to make a watermelon flavored Sprite!
01-31-2005, 08:09 PM
I think the best sprite remix that they could make would be a strawberry-kiwi sprite.
02-01-2005, 12:13 AM
AJ is going to be a strawberry-pineapple-passionfruit flavor. Due out in early April.
I was betting on a cherry Remix. But they are going to be releasing the Remix flavor shots again this year. Cherry, grape, and vanilla are the three I saw.

Passionfruit flavor sounds like it might be nice. The only other passionfruit flavored soda I can think of off the top of my head was one made by Wet Planet (the parent company of Jolt Cola), in these big 24 oz. bottles. They were kind of generic variety sodas, with all the standard flavors, but they also had a couple that were totally original, like Passionfruit Punch and one that Jolt adopted and added caffeine to and renamed Electricblue. The store I used to get them from closed a couple years ago, and I can't even find them online.

Least w/Passionfruit, it's some semblance of originality.

I didn't care for the Berry version of Sprite...but I would love to see Tropical Remix come back. I can't deny the fact I am intrigued by a possible orange flavored remix. I really like Gatorade Orange Clear...they should shoot for something like that.

I loved Berry, Tropical tasted nasty.
02-10-2005, 03:05 PM
I think I liked Tropical better overall out of the first two flavors. I have a feeling this is going to be the best one yet though.

I spoke with a local Coke rep this afternoon. Not only did he not know when Sprite Aruba Jam was coming out but that he hadn't even heard of it before. I guess it's still a ways out before we'll see in this part of the country. He did say that Coke Lime would be out Monday though.

I knew about Aruba Jam months ago, because there was a small graphic of it printed on some Sprite/Seagram's coupons we had gotten over the holidays. The logo was a red color, definately something I hadn't seen before, so it caught my eye.

I really liked Tropical Remix, don't really like Berry Remix though. Orange will probably just be another flop. I don't see why they felt they had to completely stop production of Tropical. I NEVER see anyone in my area drinking Berry Remix. And as for that guy that said it would taste just like Mountain Dew Livewire, obviously he's never tasted Livewire.

Aruba Jam is not going to be orange. I mentioned the flavor profile above. Strawberry, pineapple and passionfruit.
I saw tropical 20oz from Philadelphia Coke long after the switch to berry was made last year. I guess they had some extra concentrate to use up.
I really wanted a cherry Remix. Maybe in 2006?

I have to say I agree that Berryclear, while I like it, flopped. It didn't sell in coolers, got pulled out of many of them. I only know of people that drink it. Me and one of my best friends, and we both love the stuff.
03-26-2005, 04:00 PM
Berryclear is still around here everywhere.
I just tried the new Aruba Jam, good. smile.gif
03-26-2005, 04:58 PM
i really liked berry clear and tropical.. moreso berryclear as it was so different, but right before the launch of berryclear , i went with only diet/low carb sodas...
they should really do a sprite remix zero with each one too.

it's out in detroit in fridgepacks. still seeing berryclear everywhere

I think there's a little bit of information about Sprite Aruba Jam in a video, to see it go to: http://announce.coca-cola.com/sprite_oyt/index.html and click on the Sprite 2005 Marketing video Broadband or Modem

I bought a bottle in New Orleans, but I haven't tried it yet. I bought so many drinks there, I just haven't gotten around to trying them all so far. Plus, i'm cutting down on the amount of sodas I drink. It might be a week before I drink Aruba Jam.
04-03-2005, 10:42 PM
It has a passion fruity type flavor to it. I had some over the weekend. It's good. Better than the other two they put out. It's not orange though.
04-03-2005, 10:45 PM
I had my first taste of AJ...i couldn't quite place the taste. But i definitely would say i prefer it over Berry Clear, but Tropical is the best. As for the flavor it is a fruit flavor of some sorts, but i definitely think orange/kiwi/lime best describes it. Bring back Tropical!!!
04-04-2005, 12:17 AM
pretty good stuff....craz is right though...its no tropical. I wish i could just find one bottle or can of tropical somewhere on the net or something.

Hey guys, has no one realized what Aruba Jam really is?? It's Tropical Sprite Remix with a different name. Just look at it. I bought a two liter last thursday. The bottle looked exactly the same as tropical and it tastes exactly the same as tropical. I have a friend who works at the store I bought it from and they talked to the cocacola guy who brought it to the store, and he told him it was just tropical with a new name. THey were just trying to sell it. I want a new sprite remix soon. An old one with a different name isn't going to cut it. PLus, its not that good anyways.
04-05-2005, 02:22 AM
I was looking in a cupboard here and behind some stuff was one lonely can of Tropical left. I never really liked it... I do really like Berryclear though. I may keep this can of tropical for my collection.....
04-05-2005, 03:02 AM
I prefer BerryClear much better than Tropical. They should increase the berry flavor though.
04-09-2005, 05:11 AM
There isn't a doubt in my mind this stuff is actually a label-engineered Tropical Sprite Remix. It's the EXACT same label, with the EXACT same colors. When I first opened the bottle I went "Damn.. that smells JUST like Tropical did.." A quick swig proved my theory. It's Tropical. I guarantee.
04-09-2005, 02:33 PM
TROPICAL=ARUBAJAM .. same placement, similar look, 8 letters a piece.
i still have some tropical, i will taste them bakc to back and see if they are exactly the same , as it seems, or if there are slight differences.
04-09-2005, 08:01 PM
I agree it does taste a lot like the Tropical Remix if it's not the same stuff it is very close!
04-10-2005, 01:14 AM
I am in agreement that it tastes much like the Tropical Remix. I disliked the Berry Remix but found this one to be much more pleasing. I even had to smell it before taking a swig...just to make sure it wasn't the same awful Berry stuff. :-D
04-10-2005, 05:15 PM
I actually had to pour Aruba Jam down the sink I hated it so much LOL

I tried it aruba jam yesterday, I agree about it tasting similar to tropical remix however I noticed it was very weak compared to tropical remix. However it better then berryclear remix by a small amount.
04-15-2005, 12:45 AM
Hey guys, thanks to you all who realize that aruba jam is just tropical with a new label. You all who said it was going to be orange flavored or whatever flavored got my hopes up. Then I tried it and gave the rest to my brother because it was tropical sprite. I know it is and I will never drink it again.
04-15-2005, 01:16 AM
It does taste a lot like Tropical, but this one doesn't taste as sweet to me.
04-15-2005, 01:17 PM
Out of the 3 Remix flavors we've had so far, I think Aruba Jam is the weakest. Yes, it's like Tropical, but not quite the same (of course, without have a side-by-side comparision, that's just memory talking).
