I wrote this yesterday about the original Mountain Dew marketing campaign.
The campaign matched the youthful exuberance of being a young adult with the "pep" of energy from it's higher caffeine content. This appealed to a younger generation of soda pop consumers that has transcended across several generations of soda pop drinkers.
Bevnet posted Pepsi's current news release from 10/18/06. I did not see this press release prior to making the above post.LOL Looks like I was not too far off in my description regarding Pepsi/MD marketing strategies. smile.gif
