My wife and I drove down to New Orleans over the weekend and picked up a few things. While traveling through MS, we see this beauty pulling onto the interstate. Where has this thing been hiding for 25 yrs???
One of the first stops, I find the new Saints bottles that just came out:
I find this sign on a pole:
In the next store, this fine display is set up as you walk in:
I begged the manager for a sign:

We go around the corner from this display, and here's this beauty:
At another store, this little display rack is found.. they wouldn't let me have it :(
Here's a cool store sign. Notice the coke wave at the bottom and the coke bottles in the bag:
Now, on to the sodas! I stocked up on Red and Vanilla Creme!
I've never seen Mug Creme!
Found these on a bottom shelf of a mom & pop store:

A New Orleans favorite!
1 liters that we don't get at home. Also, glass throwaways with the new logo:
A few misc. drinks.. finally found Jazz in 20 oz bottles. Our Pepsi guy in Alabama says we won't ever get them.. so I grabbed these:
A few milk drinks..they tasted about the same.. but cool bottles:
More misc. bottles. The superhero bottles are cool though. Different character on each bottle:

Great pics wonkapete! I'm in Hattiesburg, Mississippi which is only a couple of hours away from New Orleans. Where exactly did you pick up the Barq's Red Creme Soda 12-pack and the Mug Creme Soda 12-pack?

Josh, the Barq's was picked up at the first Winn-Dixie as you pass over the river (you can see it from I-10). However, you can find it in nearly every store down there. The Mug was found at the store, Dorignac's. The sign is shown above, with the coke bottles on it. It's on Vetern's Blvd in Metairie.

Why won't you get 20oz Jazz in your area?!
I've had Mug Cream... it's really good. I live in NY, and it's not in my area. But there's a lot of A&W Creme Soda, and tons of Polar Creme Soda, Which is regional.
Barq's Red Creme and the other French Vanilla cream soda are high on my want to try list.

8 years ago in Portland Oregon they still had a lot of trucks and some trailers painted in these old colors.

David, I don't know why we won't get the 20 oz Jazz in our area. I also went through the lower half of Mississippi and they don't have it there either. I finally asked my Pepsi guy and he said we won't get the 20 oz here and besides, it's scheduled to only run through the end of the year anyway. So, I don't know.
rackitup, I haven't seen a trailer such as this since I was a kid. This is not the norm for this area. You can tell by the letters peeling off the back door that it is old. I also remember that slogan, 'if you must drink & drive...' from the 1980s.

A vehicle get's over 1,000,000 exposures/looks a year, that's a lot of Free advertising.
I tried 2 head up a vinyl graphics shop at Pepsi 2 impliment the changeover 2 new graphic's and create a better job 4 myself at the time,LOL, all it did was piss my boss off because in essence I went over his head.

If you look closely, it's not PBG. It's Allen Beverages of Gulfport.
