I wish I had some of that kosher Be’er Mayim half and half grapefruit soda.
I found it at an orthodox Jewish food coop for $1.19 per 2 liter. But what with it being the first day of Passover they will be closed.
I do with I had some now.

I'm not sure if you are refering to fountain or bottle but if you still have bottles there you might want to snap them up Subway is going all VAULT once they run out of stock- alot already have. If you were talking about fountain then no worries at this point.

Hi there, first post, but I have been trolling around for a few months.

My favorite beverage, the one I would love to be drinking right now, is Fanta Melon Soda from the fountains in Japan. It is fluorescent green, has a sweet, syrupy flavor, and is the nectar of the gods. I don't know what makes it so great, but it is, and I want it.

My second choice is equally unattainable. It is called Mitsuya Cider, another Japanese pop (I'm from Michigan, it's called pop to me) that is a "Cider" flavor; their lemon-lime flavor. The recent Sprite Remix Aruba Jam had a similar profile.

Last, I want Pepsi Vanilla. Mainly because I don't want it to go away!

Good to meet all of you, I will post more often ;)

I'd like to have a C2 equivalent for Mello Yello and Dr. Pepper.

Going one step further I'd like to have C2 with cane sugar instead of HFCS. And then I'd like to have the same concept applied to Mello Yello and Dr. Pepper.

Finally I'd like to have a Coke Zero equivalent for Diet Dr. Pepper. Give me the full diet calorie wise but give me the harsher full flavor of an old fashioned Dr. Pepper.

C2 is middle ground and Coke Zero is full flavored. Give me the Coke Zero bite and the C2 calorie package. Give me the Coke Zero bite in a Diet Dr. Pepper.

Yep I want to muck up at least 4 different sodas that are currently on the market.

The game: Ice cold soda pop.

The fun: Each car will place a microphone on the dash boad the car. The car with the most creative burp will get discount drink coupons. The game begins when there are 10 cars parked. The game will be judged by 3 of the Bevnet message board mates.

There will be a 3 soda pop per person minimum.LOL

What I would give for a Dr. Pepper with real cane sugar! I'd still love to try the West Jefferson longneck, but I know I wouldn't go wrong with a Dublin. The store (HFCS) version is a *completely* different drink, which now tastes aweful in comparison.

I'd also love to try a Cherry Coke w/ cane sugar (old formula). I've had the new CC Cherry, and it isn't the same at all, bleh. I used to drink the old version often, but the new one is just missing something.

I'm really interested in trying Afri-Cola, Passover Coke and Dublin Dr. Pepper (ordered a case -- it's on its way!). The first two I'd like to compare to Boylan's Cane (my fav), and I'm looking forward to testing Dublin's against regular DP.

BTW, anyone here ever tried Fukola? Along with China Cola, Bev ranks Fukola as the best cola of all time. I tried China and was disappointed (it's thin and cheap tasting despite the unique spcies, imo), and am wondering just how good Fukola can be, seeing as how it uses HFCS (yuck) over cane.

So, what's the word on Afri, PassCoke, DDP and Fukola?

Please tell us how it is. In general, I find it more sweet than the (also sucrose-based) West Jefferson, NC variety (available from <http://www.beveragesdirect.com/>). So the Dublin kind tastes best very cold, IMHO.

Many of the sodas in 12 oz glass bottles at beveragesdirect.com come from West Jefferson, and are sucrose-sweetened (not sure if it's cane or beet, but it's really good, IMHO). There's a peculiarity in the search engine in that "dr pepper" finds the diet kind, but "dr. pepper" brings up the real-sugar kind.

Here's my breakdown of the differences one may (potentially) taste between the sucrose and regular (total or partial HFCS) Dr Pepper:

1. Mouthfeel (the HFCS seems to feel "stickier", while the non-HFCS feels "cleaner"). If you've recently had an HFCS soda, this difference is harder to detect; so if you're doing taste-comparisons, try to wait at least four hours after drinking the HFCS variety, or overnight, before moving on to the non-HFCS kind.

2. Sweetness-quality (the non-HFCS will often have a "honey-like" sweetness, perhaps because the sucrose breaks down into 50/50 fructose/glucose (just like honey) while HFCS usually has an excess of fructose, leading to a "grape-like" sweetness.

3. Flavor bouquet (especially for Dr Pepper, the flavor of non-HFCS may seem "richer", while the HFCS seems more "one note". This difference is easier to describe for Coca-Cola, where non-HFCS formulations allow a "citrus note" to come through that is generally difficult to pick up in the HFCS formulation.)
-----
-Doug
(Sorry for your disappointment. Of course, you might be lucky enough to live in an area which uses more sucrose, and less HFCS in the Dr Pepper, perhaps.)
