This weekend I conducted a blind soda tasting between the various Diet KO Colas, as well as Classic. Each participant rated each cola on a one-to-ten scale. Each soda was chilled to the same temperature, 30 degrees, in an aluminum can, all from the same bottler.
The results

Coca-Cola Classic 9 9 7 7 9 7

I was not a participant in this experiment.

Yeah, you should have gotten some Mexican Coke, along with Coke from other countries that still attempt to make a good product, and get people to rate them against the taste of US Coke.
Well, I live in a city of 40k, I was lucky to get TaB. tongue.gif

Did your serve the soda pop over ice?
Did you pour the soda pop cold from a can?
Did you use paper,plastic or glass cups?
Did you allow the subjects to see the can/bottle?
Did you provide water so they could cleanse their pallet?
Did you serve Coke Zero over ice?
The way you do even an informal test has an impact on the results. smile.gif
By the way, can I drink the left-overs. LOL

Also, just out of curiosity, were most of the people in the taste test diet soda drinkers? I'm just curious because of the relatively high average scores for the diet sodas.
I must say it's pretty cool that Zero actually beat Classic (albeit not by much) and was the only product to get a score of 10 from anyone.
Hey, maybe the next time you do this test, you could include Pepsi's diet sodas as well, and (if you can find them) Diet Rite and/or Diet RC. Getting a version of Coke with cane sugar would be neat too - you should be able to order it on.line from somewhere.

2. Yes.
3. Glass cups.
4. No. Blind-tasting.
5. I used a small spoom of very cold shaved ice after every drinks. Works better IMO.
Um... I already drank the rest of the soda.
I believe the split was about half regular/half diet drinkers, from what I've observed.
