I see Sonic commercials several times a night while watching TV. The shaved ice drinks look so darn good. Does anyone go to Sonic for drinks.
The closest Sonic store is in Champaign Urban or
Evansville,IN. I'm at the point of taking a road trip. Does anyone who lives in or about Chicago want to hit the highway for a Sonic taste testing party?

Cheeburger Cheeburger also advertises drinks. They have a Shake-a-Soda where the soda is mixed at your table. Flavors such as Espresso, Lemon, Macadamia Nut, Blackberry, etc. They also claim to have about 70 different milkshake flavors
Oh, their ice drinks are SOOOOOOOOO good.
You're in for a treat, Zabe.

Oh man, Zabe.
I go there all the time to get a Coke with an orange syrup add-in.
And for a "guilty pleasure", I get their Coconut Cream Pie Shake.
I haven't tried their ice drinks yet. There's too many more calorie-laden drinks that seem more worthwile to me.

I had the ocean water once before from Sonic and forgot that blue drinks = blue lips so unfortunately I was walking around with blue lips for an hour or so.

That's too funny.
The closest Sonics is a 5 hour drive to Quincy,Illinois. Gee I might need to rent the Bevnet chopper. LOL (Joke)

Yeah, the last time I had blue lips while drinking something was when I had the short lived Minute Maid blueberry soda in 1996.

Last time I had blue lips I leaned in to smooch
my 3 grade sweetheart. It was a frozen winter's
morning, I went for the kiss, she ducked slightly and I ended up getting lip locked to a steel light post.
If I only had a mug of hot chocolate, my lips would have never had gotten stuck. LOL
A little levity. smile.gif

MZ: if only it were the spicy hot chocolate in a bag that was so shamelessly advertised on BevBoard the other day..... Of course you may have been red in another part of your body afterward

Sorry to change the subject...
But speaking of blue drinks, has anyone tried the new Jolt Blue? It's the one in the 24oz resealable can(which is awesome). BevNET reviewed it already.
I just tried it yesterday. I ordered if off a website because I REALLY wanted to try it and no one sells it around here.
I have to say that it is very good, and just how I expected it to taste. It's a berry and cotton candy flavor and is extremely sweet, which is ok by me.
Anyway, back to the topic...
Anita, I too have tried the Ocean Water and it's pretty good. I wouldn't want it everyday, but it does hit the spot every once in a while.
Most often at Sonic, however, I get the Sonic Sunrise, which is Sonic's cherry limeade mixed with orange juice.
Sonic is really a beverage lover's dream.
Rumur has it that they will be adding Diet Dr Pepper to all of their restaurants by January 2006. I will now be a HUGE Sonic customer.

Dairy Queen sells a frozen ice drink called Mr Misty. It's flavored syrup pumped into extra fine frozen ice.
The flavors are basic yet oh so good. Orange,Grape,Lemon Lime, and Cherry.
The taste of grape is outstanding. If Sonic has this kind of ice drink with all those cool flavors and I lived near one of their stores,I would go there once a day for my fix. LOL

I'll take a 44oz cherry limeade from Sonic!

1. I read somewhere that Dairy Queen changed the name of Misty to something else recently. They gave it some EXTREEM name or something.
2. The first time I ordered an ocean water from Sonic I ordered the 44 oz size. I remember when I pulled up to the drive thru window and the boy working there opened up the window and that's all you could see was this HUGE DRINK. I couldn't even see the boys head. It could not fit in the cup holders of my ford escort either. Good thing I wasn't driving that day.

The dairy queen I go to is old school. I think if they tried to change out the Mr Misty name on the drive thur order board, it would fall apart. LOL
Gosh just the mention of Mr Misty gets me a craving a nice grape M.M. YUM
