Today I was given the following:
One wooden Coca-Cola crate (no dividers) with the following:
3 8 pack boxes
23 16oz 2-way bottles (I was wrong, one is missing!)
8 with screw on caps
and,
two with about 3-4 inches of soda in them!
Any idea of the age of these bottles? I know they gotta be pretty old, cause the caps say:
Delaware Coca-Cola Bottling Company, Salisbury MD.
DCCBC was the bottling operations that were owned by Miami Coca-Cola in eastern MD and Delaware. The plant I work in is also a former DCCBC plant, and some of our stuff is still addressed to DCCBC!
DCCBC was acquired by Mid-Atlantic Coca-Cola, which was acquired by CCE, first becoming part of the Capitol Division, then the Mid-Atlantic Division.
The whole thing is pretty dusty, or I'd take some pictures.
