My wife picked these up for me this past weekend, mainly for the packaging! Neat items! Sadly, they just taste like pound cake..

I don't know if you've ever had a Cheerwine Cake (essentially, a red velvet cake with Cheerwine), but damn, that is good.

In fact, IMO the most delicious cakes... are from the supermarket or the wholesale market... :D In my birthday me and my family ate a chocolate cake from Costco, really delicious, and last weekend we ate an apple pie from Costco too... it tasted like american heaven... tongue.gif

Make any vanilla or lemon cake with mountain dew instead of water and muffins with mounntain dew instead of milk or water and that is one hell of a good treat :D

The company that makes these cakes is B.C. Bundt out of Tampa, FL. The 'wax' that Zabe observed is just a thick glaze. I've only sampled the Dr. Pepper and Orange Crush ones. They really don't have much taste. Just really taste like pound cake. The intent was really to not consume them anyway.. just got them for the packaging.

An Absolut Mandrin one of those would be de-licious!

Actually, you can make Coca-Cola cake.

Cracker Barrel (a US restaurant chain) has one on their menu from time to time.

For the real deal go to the Dublin Dr Pepper website and order their Dr Pepper cake and frosting mix.
