While in U.S. there's Diet Coke with Splenda, 7UP with Splenda and Diet Rite with Splenda, we have few options with Splenda or Sucralose, Here are some examples:

Cristal Light: this product is only available at Yucatan, Quintana Roo and Campeche, and is produced by the Coca-Cola bottlers from that region, it comes in three flavors: apple, grapefruit and orange

Peñafiel Naturel: this is the only product with sucralose available nationwide in Mexico, it comes in four flavors: lemon, strawberry, grapefruit and orange. (a product of Cadbury Schweppes Mexico)

I have read that Mexico, and most Latin American countries, are 90/10 sugar/diet markets.

Sound right?

That orangey splenda soda looks good though.

Sound right? I didn't know that, but what I know is that Mexico is the country that drinks more Coke products.

We should receive a medal for this!

Sound right? The United States is the fattest country in the world. It would make sense that diet soda is popular here, but few places elsewhere.

I agree about the US having the highest number of obese people.(I do not have any real data on this.)

I will say that customers demand certain products.
Producers attempt to meed the demand of customers.

I wonder if Coke or Pepsi understand the consumers tastes for diet soda pop. How many bad diet soda pops fail? How many sugar pops fail?

My guess is that there remains a very strong HFCS/sugar market for soda pop. It's like a guilty pleasure. We buy more than we talk about it because, deep down we want to indulge ourselves.

Even for diet drinkers, the pleasure of an ice cold Coke or Pepsi will always hit the spot.

I guess my point is that most large people(fat)people drink diet pop but will binge/splurge on regular soda pop in a heart beat.
