The pictures everyone's been waiting for! I took pictures of all four sides, but here are the ones of the the front (where the handle is), and the top.

Meh, looks ok
nothing still will beat the mid 90s cherry coke label (purple and black zig zag background)
At least change the color of the background, hell I am surprised Caffeine Free Coca-Cola doesn't just have a gold ribbon instead of the gold backhround!

Gee, I really had a goofy mental image of the new design/carton art. I thought some how the actual carton was shaped like a can. LOL

I'm not too impressed with the new carton art. Just my view. I rather see a can pouring carbonated soda pop into one of those cool looking coke glasses form the 70's.

i saw those the other day - it caught my eye, but probably only because its new

i think it looks pretty good - i wish pepsi would update its packaging more often

Man, it's awesome!!! I'll buy one in January!
Can't wait to see the new fridge packs from Coke and the other brands!

Thanks fusion for the pics! smile.gif smile.gif

Looks OK to me. Looks like Coke is emphasizing the Coca-Cola trademark logo over the cherry.

I think I still like the Original Cherry Coke logo best, the one in my current signature picture.

What about Diet Cherry, is that different too?

Diet cherry is changing slightly - but I have only seen graphics for individual cans/bottles. No idea about 12 pack wraps.

That looks great. Will the Black Cherry Vanilla coke package look close to that?

12-11-2005, 11:33 PM
I would say it does look pretty similar. See for yourself. (http://bevnet.com/news/2005/11-04-2005-Coca-Cola_black%20cherry_vanilla%20coke.asp)

I swear Cherry Coke and Diet Cherry Coke has never changed their labels at the same time.
Coca-Cola Cherry, yea no one is gonna call it by that. Cherry Coke will always be the name!

sounds stupid being called "Coca-Cola Cherry" but there doing what Pepsi did, reversing the names. I had a feeling this was going to happen for awhile now.

They should have just kept it as Cherry Coke because it sounds like cherry flavored Coca-Cola... where as Coca-Cola Cherry sounds like it is mainly Coca-Cola with a tiny hint of cherry flavor.

diet cherry has the same packaging as the cherry 12 packs

I wonder if in the future Diet Coke will change to DIET COCA-COLA, like in Japan.

In fact I think that changing the name of Cherry Coke to Coca-Cola Cherry is an intelligent option, in order to give more presence to the Coca-Cola trademark.

True. Cherry Coke also saw an increase in sales when it was moved from the "flavor" part of the lineup into the Coca-Cola trademark part.

WOW!!

Thanks for the posting the pic, fusion!

That Coke fridge pack looks awesome!

Coca-Cola used to have the picture of the cans on the cartons in the mid 90s too. instead of one big can it was 12 small cans along the box.

Pepsi also had a picture of the can on their cartons in the late 1980s, early 1990s. I don't have pics to post but I do remember these designs.

The new fridge pack have shown up here in Boulder. I saw the sprite, Caffine free Coke, and believe it or not...C2!

They look pretty good on shelves. But, when I do by a 12 pack, I never use the fridge pack.

How do they attach the aluminum tab to the cardboard 12-pack? :D

Coke Zero did the same thing...
