Yes. There are 2 beat up 12 packs at a grocer down the road from me. They showed up about 3 months ago. I also found it in stores around the Virginia/North Carolina border, places such as Max Meadows, Mt Airy, that area.

Greetings from the VA/NC border that drpep mentioned.

Interestingly, I still see 12 packs in the grocery stores. And finally when I think they were the last ones, more arrive. I'm a dnL fan, it's all good.

dnL has never graced my vision here in Nova Scotia, but it's on my list of things to try and find.

Nick- The reason why you never saw it was because from what I hear DPSU never made a caffine-free version- which is required by Canadian law for this kinda drink. That would explain why you have never seen it.

Back on topic I hear it is still being produced in areas of Texas though its still avalible randomly throughout the US. While supplies last though.

I saw it at Woodman's in Kenosha Wisconsin.
Cubes and 2 ltrs. I also saw 20oz btls in an end case cooler for 2 for a $1 (sale) I did not check the fresh dates as I'm not a fan of dnL.

Thanks for the responses...

The reason I ask it, that the only DNL I can find here in Upstate NY is in a single mini mart, 20oz size and all basically flat.

At first I thought DNL was inherently flat, but then began to suspect they were very very old bottles. Wanted to know if it was still being made, and if it wasn't, that would explain their age.

I may have had one of those early morning brain freeze posts. Now that I'm fully awake....I did
NOT find DNL (cubes.2lts). I did see some 20oz on sale for 2 for $1 . Sorry, I must have been sleep posting. LOL

2 for $1 - must be getting rid of their remaining stock

12-20-2005, 09:03 PM
They liquidated the remaining fridgepacks here a year ago at $1 each.

They still have random 20oz. bottles here and there, but they're all horribly flat.

I've seen 12 packs at my local grocery store, in College Park, MD.

Where is this mini mart? I searching my brain for an eastern NY location where I spotted d-nL within the last few months.
Do you know where Big Flats, NY is? That is where 2 12 packs are sitting as of last week.

In the last couple of weeks that my best friend and I have went to Virginia, we have found a total of seventeen 20 oz. bottles and twenty 12 oz. cans of dnL. All of the cans and 3 bottles came from an old gas station, while the rest of the bottles came from a vending machine at a Food City. A week or so before that, we found a 2-liter bottle of it at a gas station. Unfortunately, the bottle had expired and tasted like crap (the taste reminded me of liquid paper!).

The dnL here seems to finally be gone - we did have some lying around earlier in the year.

I've got my own stash of about 3 1/2 12 packs.

Just saw 20 oz-ers of dnL here in Iowa yesterday.

Is it me...it appears that dnL 20oz are old stock stores are trying to clear out and that new 20oz are not being produced?

Kind of like the last Hurrah, don't let the door hit you on the way out. LOL

The dnL I've seen this year looks like old stock that the vendor is refusing to pick up. None of it was in very good condition.

12-26-2005, 05:37 PM
Can someone please tell me what DNL stands for? smile.gif

The 'D' and the 'N' are supposed to be lower cased, so that it looks like this: dnL... if you imagine that upside down, it looks like 7up, just like the upside down logos on the bottles.

Last time I saw the stuff in my town (Jacksonville, FL) was early this year. 12 packs and 2 liters disappeared first, and some nasty flat 20 ozs went away about a month later. I miss it, it was my favorite 20oz drink. Something different.

Well guys, my best friend and I have now found a total of twenty 20 oz. bottles, twenty 12 oz. cans, and one 2-liter bottle of dnL in the past month. We found the three other bottles at a gas station in Sevierville, TN. WE LOVE dnL!

01-01-2006, 04:47 PM

Yesterday, I found another 2-liter bottle and TWENTY SIX more 20 oz. bottles of dnL in Virginia!

Total dnL count (in the last month):

20 oz. bottles: 46
12 oz. cans: 20
2-liter bottles: 2

Just curious, what are production dates on these bottles of DNL?

None of them have expiration dates, but they do have numbers (and a letter) at the top of the bottle. Here is an example from one of them:

01-01-2006, 05:52 PM
It was produced on the 155 day of 2003. It is real old.

Mr Zabe

I believe the production date is 2004 the 226th day. Either way,you brought some "shelf dusters" the stuff that gets pushed around but not rotated. (Due to store clerks not knowing how to rotate stock,in small Ma & Pa stores.)

I do not recall DNL was rolled out in 2003?

that sounds close

01-02-2006, 02:52 AM
Mr Zabe I believe you are correct.

01-02-2006, 03:28 AM
I got most of them from vending machines, so they probably are old. Still, they taste great and that's all that matters!

01-03-2006, 02:06 AM
dnL disappeared from south Texas more than six months ago.

01-03-2006, 05:18 AM
I found MORE dnL today in Taylorsville, NC. Unfortunately, the dnL down there tasted like crap and I poured out the two bottles that I bought. I have enough good bottles of it now, so it's okay!

i know where a vending machine with a dnL sticker is, but when i was there, the machine was out of order.

I did find one more 12 pack at the store where I bought my stash from. They must've dug it out of the deepest, darkest regions of the store, because there was none for months, and the date stamping on it is old.
