What a silly story.... Atkins approved products are sold out so fast at my grocery store that people are asking when the displays will be put out again and even asking for rain checks. Low carb lifestyle is not going anywhere anytime soon.

I hope it dies, and dies soon. Good riddance to the Atkins diet. Least we can get that crummy C2 and Edge off our shelves.

Atkins people are NOT drinking Edge or C2.

i see people drinking C2 or edge.. actually not edge, i havent seen one person drinking that..

but i see C2 being drank, just because its kinda "hip" to drink the more expensive "healther" version of coke.

i think pepsi edge will die a quick death, and i hope it doesnt hurt the chances of pepsione sticking around..

pepsione is a great drink and i could see atkins people picking that up; i know i do.

i've alloweod myself 2 coke c2's as "treats"...

I see very few people drinking Edge or C2! Billion dollar companies and they just don't get it!

I think the mid cal. colas might be on to something. Who knows if they will do good enough to last a few years or not? But people who are watching their carbs or calories are drinking diet, if any soda. But some people are not worried about carbs, or dont care, but would like to be a little healthier, but without loosing their cola. Edge and C2 fit right there. But time will tell if these brands will last.

All fad diet scams pass on when the people fooled by them realize the current one does not work and move on to whatever Katie, Oprah, et al tell them is next.

The non-perishable residue of this fad will be at your local Big Lots in a year or so.

Reminds you of SumPoosie huh...... If corporate had 60 million to blow like they did on Edge and C2 you would see people drinking it because it is a quality product. HFCS in a soft drink.... YUK!

SumPoosie just continues to grow......and I will bet you anything you want that SumPoosie will be around long after the last can of Edge or C2 come off the line! ;)

Of course, Pepsi and Coke execs thought Edge and C2 would go over w/the Atkins people. Too bad they're too dumb to realize the people want no-carb, not low-carb. C2 other than in 20 oz. really is almost gone from shelves up my way.

From what I am seeing in the Supermarkets I visit the displays of C2 & Edge are not getting any smaller. I don't believe it is being restocked. I would give this stuff around 8 months and you will find it at Big Lots. This will be a bigger flop for Coke than CokeII.

I bet in our warehouse we load about 10 cases of C2 cans a day, and we usually have more than that coming back...20 ounce is selling well though.

Kroger has introduced their own low-carb soda, called Big K Cola 50/50. It's in 2-liters and 12-packs. It's the same price as regular Big K. At least it's price isn't artificially jacked up like Coke's C2 just because it's low-carb.

I see the 20 oz C2 selling, but no other size and defintiely not Edge
teamtitan is right. atkins and similar low-carb diets only allow about 20 carbs a day for weight loss, and that's how much is in 1 20 oz bottle

At the risk of beating a dead horse.. C2 and Edge are NOT targeted towards Atkins people.

There is a group of people who switch between diet and regular sodas. That's who they were going after.

Prices on C2 are dropping like a rock. Martin's here in Maryland has the 8 packs for $2.09. Commissary is at $2.29, and I put $1 off on 2 coupons on them.. so that brings them down to $1.79.

Coke either needs to keep the prices this low, or put it in 12 packs.

It's either going to have to be marketed as a regular-priced drink, or just be liquidated to where anyone looking for an item as cheap as possible will look into it.

diets, diets, its all hoopla.

they always find some dude that lived to a 126 eating bacon and whiskey and wonder how he did it without taking phen-fen and eating low-carb BREAD(which means its smaller, cause thats the only way lowcarb bread is possible).

its simple. eat all you want, as much as you want, and go ride your bicycle. walk around. have 2 or 3 times as much sex as normal. thats the best diet.
