Hey-
Whatever happened to 3-liter bottles of Coke/Pepsi/Other Sodas? I don't see them anymore and am wondering why. Were they not profitable for the companies?

There still made. It depends on your local bottler. I'm sure someone on here could tell you where there exactly available.
They show up around here in the Summertime only. The store brand (Kroger Big K) has them year round.

I saw them mostly in the south, in Coke Consolidated and United Coke territories. United actually uses reusable green 3-liter shells/crates.
I have seen Pepsi/Diet/Dew/7UP in some Pepsi franchises. When I started with CCE back in 1997, we got rid of 3 Liters that summer.

Buffalo Rock Pepsi in Alabama invented the package and still sells it.

They're all over the place in north Texas. Mainly Coke products and store brands, like Big K (Kroger). No Pepsi or Dr Pepper, though.

Pepsi here offers Pepsi, Diet Pepsi, and Mountain Dew in 3 liters. They did have 7-Up, but since they made the change to Sierra Mist, there's no 3L bottles of it. These bottles for some reason are only sold at Giant Eagle here locally. 3-liters were offered of Regent cola (a generic brand sold at County Market), but now, the 3L's of Pepsi are the only 3L's around.

That, I had never seen. Never even knew it existed!
I do kick myself that I didn't save the 1-liter bottle I had years ago.
