Has anyone else seen this? I was at woodmans a little bit ago, and i noticed that diet 7up has changed their label to match with all the other diet CS products, but on closer inspection, they have also changed their formula. the label says, "Now more lemon lime taste!**", and when you go to the **, it says new formula. it was canned by ABC, in Northlake, IL. Also, there is not any splenda, or sucralose for that matter, in it anymore. i will get some pics in a little bit.

If they went back to aspartame/ace-K, good for them. But I hope they didn't make it taste like the nasty "all natural" regular 7 Up.

it is aspertame/ace-k. and im not sure if it is like the new 7up, i havent had one in a while. this might be an excuse to buy a 20 oz bottle.

Awesome! I'm all for a return to aspartame/Ace-K mixture, like they had before. Back when they changed last time in early 2005, I took this picture, does the new ingredient list look similar to the old formula (on the bottom)?

everything is the same on it, except that the final 3 ingredients are in a different order. they now go "aspartame, acesulfame potassium, calcium disodium EDTA (protects flavor)"

EDIT: got a pic of the can, sorry for the flash glare.

Thats great news. Diet 7-Up was one of my favorite diet sodas before they Splendazed it.

Thanks for the update Rob. I'll be looking for this one for sure. I've been drinking a lot of Diet Sprite since the "Spleda-dization" occured for diet 7up. Maybe now I can switch back.

At least they didn't try the "All Natural" labelling thing. <sarcasm mode on:> You know that Aspartame and Ace-K are natural, just like that processed corn sludge is in normal 7-up. ;)

Along with the decreased sales... this could be another big reason why they went back to aspartame/ace-K..

I had it yesterday, it tastes much better.
And here is a pic of the new label

Old thread, I know, but I still haven't been able to find the new Diet 7up in my area. Every place I've been to still only has the old Splenda formula. I'm not happy.

What I am happy about is the fact that Stop & Shop is having a sale on 2 liter bottles of all 7up products. I picked up 6 bottles of Cherry 7up and 4 of regular 7up. I'm stocked for awhile.

It showed up first around here in 2 liters. Still waiting for it to be avaiable in cans in Wyoming. Athough I did pick up some cans and 1/2 liter PET in Colorado. Pretty good. I think I'll start alternating between it and Sprite Zero now, like I did before the Spenda change.

Boy the hatred for Splenda runs rampant!
I guess I don't like it that much either. The aftertaste isn't as powerful, but its less pleasant. If that makes any sense..

So far I've only been able to find this at places serviced by Philly bottlers about 25-30 minutes from where I live. It's excellent though - it tastes like "classic" 7 Up.

Well, I wouldn't call it hatred. If they could find a way to make Splenda-sweetened drinks taste better than the other sweeteners they've been using, then I'd be all for it. For instance, I like Pepsi One far better now that it has sucralose in it than its old formula. And I used to drink the hybrid Pepsi Edge a lot. But those are the only ones I've tried thus far that have sucralose in them that I've really cared for. Are there any diet root beers with Splenda in them?

Waist Watcher sodas from Adirondack Beverages are made with Splenda/Ace-K.
