As mentioned in a previous post, Coke is test marketing Raspberry Coke+Diet Rasberry Coke in New Zealand.

I am a bit bummed that it is not happening here in the States, and I don't think I'll get a chance to get down there this summer to try it.
But the link has a small picture of the bottle

Thats awesome. I guess Pepsi did it a decade ago, but glad to see a Raspberry Cola comeback. Hope it makes North America!

If you really want to try it, you can buy it on ebay for about 15-20 dollars total (price + shipping to US)

I tried the Diet Coke and Raspberry today, and it's great 8-).

I must admit that I was worried that they wouldn't get the mix right, but (in my opinion) it's absolutely perfect. The raspberry flavour is definitely not overpowering (as is quite common when you order a "Coke & Raspberry" at a bar).

I think it costs NZ$2.90 per 600ml bottle (I'm not too sure because I got a couple of bottles with the groceries tonight).

Just for fun I purchased a bottle off e-bay. Arrived in great shape, my family and I drank it tonight. Pretty sweet, very strong raspberry taste...results from my family:
Daughter #1: Loved it, just perfect.
Daughter #2: One sip, did not like it.
Wife: It's OK.
Me: Good, but I could never drink a whole bottle.

It was a fun experiment!

i think raspberry has a better chance at success than lemon or lime.

my guess is that it will be very sweet. but... sometimes, you get a taste for something super sweet... and you might reach for a raspberry coke. not sure i'd buy it buy the 2-liter though.

I doubt if the US CCE will make it too sweet. They seem to be major HFCS addicts there.

Why, you might ask? Because it's CHEAP, that's why. More profits for Mother Coke! smile.gif

Sugar imported from Mexico might be cheaper than HFCS *IF* there wasn't any subsidies for corn products. Your taxpayer dollars at work.

I have to give Raspberry Coke from New Zealand a thumbs down.

The raspberry flavor is way too artificial for me, and it taste like bubble gum flavor. It also has an after-taste.

Even though I bought the "regular" version, the raspberry flavor had that "diet cola" taste to it as well.

It has the perfect amount of flavouring. It's not too weak or too strong. It's a shame the flavour has to be so blatantly artificial.

One would be better off buying regular coke and mixing in davinchi raspberry syrup like they use in the coffee shops.

I prefer the cherry coke product.
