Does anyone know how to read these date codes that RC has on packages in the southeast US? Just curious.

In a somewhat universal way across most of the major pop brands, a date code with the last letter of the year and then the number of days from January of that year it was produced.
So 5012 = January 12th
5148 = Produced on the 148th day of 2005
Or 2286 = Produced on the 228th day of 2006
I have seen the year either way.
Some times A = January B = February and so on.
It does very so sometimes I need to call the pop bottler and ask how their code works. I have never had any problems doing so.
