They're not photoshopped, they're not filled with paint... LOL ... They're the new Special Edition 600 ml Coke bottles from Mexico... now that the FIFA Soccer World Cup in Germany is coming and as a sponsor of the mexican soccer team, Coca-Cola released this three different bottles with the colors of the mexican flag: one in green, one in white and one in red... the plastic is colored but the liquid is the same... they're available only at supermarkets... This bottles look great, isn't it? :D What do you think?

I like the bottles, although the red looks more like pink. May just be the photo. Although I wouldn't get the connection with the soccer tournament.

Is this just a Mexico thing. A similar promo could be done all across Europe and Latin America.

Killer! Sweet! Weak! nice colours. now if they would do the same for Canada and have Red and White Bottles that'd be cool. smile.gif

I do not like these bottles. When green ketchup came out a few years ago, I freaked out.LOL It just seemed unnatural.

I need to see the color of the liquid that I going to drink. That's just me.

Thanks for your opinions guys! :D

SamC, is the picture, the scanner made me the picture so bright so that's why the bottle looks a little pink... but actually is red... a little bit bright red... but you're right... I actually don't feel the connection with the mexican soccer team or the Soccer World Cup... actually looks more like conmemorative bottles for the Mexican Independence day on September... a label with football theme or a mexican soccer team theme would help...

I had trouble with the off-colored ketchup too. Blehk!

But the Coke bottles are neat looking! They don't affect my stomach like the ketchup. Maybe because the product is the same and not off-colored too?

Thanks for the pics, Ramon!

Wonder if the ol' US will get red white and blue??

Ohhh, Great Picture Man! :D ... those three transparent glass bottles in the bottom surely are from Mexico City or any Coca-Cola FEMSA territory... those are difficult to find in the rest of Mexico...

Most of the Mexican Coke we have in the New York area comes from FEMSA, but I've also seen some from ARCA. The ARCA Coke tastes a little bit better, I think.

Could you please tell us what both abbreviation stand for? I not familiar with them.
Tks

MrZ... here I go... :D

FEMSA means Fomento Economico Mexicano S.A. (Mexican Economic Promotion), which is the owner of all the Cuauhtemoc-Moctezuma beers (Sol, Carta Blanca, Superior, XX Lager...), is owner of the OXXO convenience stores and of course, bottles and distributes Coca-Cola products in Mexico City and the states of Guanajuato, Veracruz, Oaxaca, Puebla, Michoacan and Tabasco, and outside Mexico, FEMSA bottles Coca-Cola in Argentina, Brazil, Panama, Central America, Colombia and Venezuela. www.coca-colafemsa.com (http://www.coca-colafemsa.com)

ARCA... (to be honest I don't know what ARCA means) the complete name is Embotelladoras ARCA (ARCA bottlers) that bottles and distributes Coca-Cola products in the states of Nuevo Leon, Chihuahua, South Baja California, part of Sonora (Hermosillo and Cd. Obregon), part of Tamaulipas (Nuevo Laredo and Reynosa), part of Baja California (Mexicali), part of Sinaloa (Mazatlan and Culiacan), part of San Luis Potosi (Matehuala) and part of Coahuila (Monclova and Saltillo). www.e-arca.com.mx (http://www.e-arca.com.mx)

Thank you MrR.
So do you agree that ARCA Coke is the better of the two distributors. I plan on going to my local Mexican Shopping Market later in the day for some Mexican soda pop. YUM

You're welcome MrZ. smile.gif Actually according to some statistics, Coca-Cola FEMSA is the No.1 Coca-Cola bottler in Mexico, the No. 2 is ARCA and the No. 3 is Grupo Continental (CONTAL) the bottler that manufactures and distributes Coca-Cola products in the states of San Luis Potosi, Zacatecas, part of Coahuila (Torreon), part of Colima (Tecomán), in the state of Jalisco, and here... Aguascalientes... www.contal.com (http://www.contal.com)

And maybe I know why the ARCA Coke tastes better than the FEMSA Coke, maybe it's because the color of the glass...
