Canada Dry of East Lansing, Michigan now carries Hires Root Beer. I'm very excited as I haven't had Hires in years since they pushed it out for A&W. I have one in the freezer, waiting excitedly to try it.

drive on up! or not. i'm gonna call the company either today or tommorrow and see what other sizes it comes in. it's shipped in from out of state (michigan) because it doesn't have the 10 cents deposit on the top of the can. also, it is the same can that it was like 10 years ago, odd really. it tasted good last night, i rate it 3.5/5

We have Hires in Indianapolis. American Bottling produces it, but it is distributed through a fourth tier system, being American pushes A&W here. Also we have Sunqist, Welches, & Crush.

our fourth tier root beer used to be monarch's dad's root beer, but now apparently it's Hires. what sizes is it made in, big rich?

I have just seen it in 2L and 12pack cans. It is higher $$$ than most. I am drinking a can right now.

My store is getting in Hires 2-liters and 12-packs soon! It comes in through one of our Hispanic foods distributors. I've got no idea why.

I've got Hires in 12oz longneck amber ACL glass. It sells pretty well. I personally prefer Sparky's, Bavarian Nutmeg Virgil's or Abita to Hires; even the cane sugar Dad's from Mr Yin & Mr Yang is better. But I'm glad I have Hires in glass anyway because it's a beverage icon and people appreciate my making it available to them.

My store got an 8-pack case of 2-liters Wednesday, and now there's only 2 bottles left! I saw a woman ringing up 2 bottles, and when I went to check the shelf out, a guy was picking up another bottle. I bought one when I got off work, and i'm drinking it right now. It's a pretty decent root beer. Not as flavorful as the bottle of Frostie's Root Beer I drank last night. But then i'm drinking it in a glass over ice, so it's a little watered down. It's still good, though.
Now if my store would just get in Sparkling Peach Crush, i'll finally be happy.

I bought some Abita and some Hires at BevMo last week. The Abita was decent, but I thought Hires was extremely good...almost as good as Hanks Root Beer.

Somestimes I put bevies in the freezer and forget they are there. They explode and make a mess of my winter venison.
