I just bought Kool Aid's new product called Ice Cool, (lemonade flavor)

And the commericals say it give you the sensation of ice, with no ice.

So, on an whim at the store I bought it, and tried it.

All I can say is something is not right with this product, and I would think twice about giving to kids.

At first, it tastes like any other Kool Aid lemonade, but after a few gulps, (about 15 seconds or so, there is a numbing sesation at the back and roof of my mouth.
It feels like a week form of novacane. It lasted a few mintues as well!

I tried it again, and I could see why they could sell it like the sensation of ice, but it was a normal feeling.

I am still trying to figure out what causes this sensation, and if it is a safe product.

Any one else tried this product?

I've tried the lemonade also, and I forget the ingredient...calci-something, and I don't like the sensation either. It's similar to menthol, almost like a better tasting lemon cough drop.

I like the sensation. It has the cool feel you get from alot of the gums.

I don't like the lemonade, I like the other flavor (I forget).

But theres no reason not to let your kids drink it, its safe.
