"Another" product in the pink? I've never seen any product actually in stores that's pink....
08-23-2004, 02:03 PM
this stuff looks and sounds like it will be amazing.. cant wait to try it out, whens it supposed to hit?
08-23-2004, 02:25 PM
7up's website is saying August 28th (Saturday).
08-24-2004, 01:39 AM
I'm just wondering if they're going to displace dnL for 7up Plus.
08-24-2004, 07:06 PM
I wonder that too.
Speaking of Red Fusion, other than Kmart in Hagerstown, I can't find it in the conventional markets. There's still 4 12 packs there, someone better rush and get it! RC Winchester appears to have given up now, meaning ABC might be the only one left w/it.

this should be interesting when it is introduced.

this should be hitting in the next day or two, considering its supposed to be in stores on the 28th..
i absoluteley cannot wait to try it, i hope i like it, as if i do, it will most likely be my most drinked soda along with pepsi one and diet dr.pepper.

well was just in my local dominick's grocery store and noticed they had 12 packs stacked up right near the entrance! quickly grabbed two and ran back home with them, drinking one on the way.
packaging = A+
just like mountain dew pitch black, the packaging and labeling is top rate, very colorful, very well done.
the flavor = A+
its hard to fully judge it sinec mine is room temperature, but even not chilled, its delicious.. its like berry clear sprite but with a more natural taste... not sure which i like better between the two, but would definately go with the 7up plus because of it being only 3g carbs, and the added vitamin c/calcium.
i hope this is successful and imagine it will be, i'll have a constant supply in my fridge, i know.
08-26-2004, 05:55 PM
also wanted to mention, hopefully the success of 7up Plus will lead to Dr Pepper "Plus", with vitamin's, minerals, low carbs and maybe a new flavor (that cherry vanilla thing?).. that would rock.
08-26-2004, 08:02 PM
Just tried it myself today and it looks like and taste a little like SumPoosie!
The pink is cool and the label design is very nice!!
All in all a very nice product!

if i hated it, i'd have some for my collection! and it was on sale so i didnt care.
08-27-2004, 12:51 AM
none here yet.
08-27-2004, 02:15 AM
gosh damn this stuff is good... though it seems "under-carbonated", if that means anything... probably to give it more of a "juice-ness" taste.
great stuff though, will do well i think.
dpsu should do an entire "plus" line including dr. pepper, and their other brands.. i think it would do very well.
08-27-2004, 05:32 AM
i've downed like 4 cans of this stuff tonight.. great stuff...
08-27-2004, 09:53 PM
It's only out here (Ohio) in two liters so far, although cans can't be far behind.
08-28-2004, 12:12 AM
I was told that Red Fusion has been discontinued in my area in 20 oz. bottles, so my local DP bottler might be 'clearing a path' for it in convenience stores. I'd say that dnL is next to go over here.
All the more reason for me to stock up on Red Fusion before the end comes. I don't want to be blindsided like I was when Pepsi Blue was cancelled. At least I managed to find a closeout store with Blue in it months after it's discontinuation. The store's gone now, so if I miss Red Fusion this time, i'll probably never find it again.

In the Dallas area 7-up Plus first went out on the 25th to the mom and pops....most of the chains will be the 1st of Sept. Have not heard of any plans of the demise of dnL....most stores should have diet rite and diet orange sunkist 20 oz. bottles though.
08-28-2004, 09:49 AM
Its out in Cincinnati Kroger stores today. dnL never did really well here, they're putting dnL on the "back burner" in most of the Kroger stores around here, dnL now only has like 2 - 4 boxes on the shelf, 7Up Plus has replaced it on the bulk sets.
7UP Plus isnt that bad...If you can get past the taste.
08-29-2004, 09:15 PM
Coupon in todays paper for $1 off 5 2 liters of 7UP Plus, 7UP, Diet 7UP, and DnL. The ad did not play of the Plus much.
08-29-2004, 10:49 PM
Under-carbonated? No wonder, you're in Chi-town, it's from ABC.
I bet this is out in Pittsburgh. I'll have to check sometime soon there.
08-29-2004, 11:23 PM
I found 2 liters today from Pepsi Pennsauken (Canada Dry Delaware Valley). It's definately got an undercarbonated taste - you can't really tell that it's a soda. I think the flavor mix is a bit odd. Maybe it's the apple juice.
08-30-2004, 05:45 PM
ABC is going to be discontinuing dnl in 12pk, 2 liters, and 1/2 liters, but plan on keeping the 20oz. around. the 12pks will still be around for quite a while since they have so many 12pk wraps for it. Don't know if this is going to happen nation wide, but it is going to happen in Minnesota.
08-30-2004, 11:11 PM
I cant find it anywhere in socal
08-31-2004, 08:51 PM
This stuff is doing really well up here in WA. It is to be expected, as we have the highest rate of obese single mothers in the nation. Diet Rite is on fire.
09-01-2004, 12:24 AM
PA ABC has never converted dnL into Cool Packs, so I've always suspected that was never a good sign on sales, or on it's future.
When ABC drops something, you know it's dead, period. They don't give up on anything. They're still trying to plod along w/Red Fusion, where they have Dr Pepper.
09-01-2004, 08:31 PM
according to my ABC sales rep that i see on my route, they'll probably get rid of fusion and dnl will stick with just 20oz and other hip packs.
i think 7up plus tastes like clearly canadian
09-02-2004, 04:18 AM
I can not wait to try this! The way the ads on the website/packaging are directed towards women is pretty cool - except my first reaction to a hot pink label w/ fruits with a pink soda inside would be that no guy would be caught dead with it in his hand !! jk....kinda. All in all, it looks great and I can not wait to get my own!

I found it too sweet and leaves an after taste thats not that good. I like the Berry Clear Sprite much better.
Although this is ranked as the best flavored diet drink.

I just like the fact someone else thinks pink is cool!!!
09-08-2004, 05:52 PM
I think I almmost prefer the berryclear sprite flavor too, but i think its because it tastes more like a "soda" whereas 7up Plus actually tastes more like a juice/soda if that makes any sense.. its less carbonated, whereas berryclear sprite seems heavily carbonated and doesnt have a natural flavor.
i think many would prefer the more natural flavor of 7up plus though.
however, i dont ever buy berryclear sprite, whereas i drink 7up plus daily, its tasty, diet but doesnt taste diet, plus some calcium and vitamin c!

1) glad I found this website, because even though my sig. other is 52, he loves to try new products. I don't think he'll be anxious about the pink~ We are staying away from that black Mtn Dew
2) No sign of 7up Plus here, yet. Didn't find out about it until reading about it here. No advertising or anything here in Eastern, PA. I went to the website and I saw the pink bottle. It does look neat.
