My soda experiences in China (PICS)

First off, most Chinese soda cans/bottles have two sides, one english and the other chinese. Also, the cans have the old pull-tab design where the tab actually comes out.

1.Icy Mint Sprite -
Icy Mint Sprite finally allowed me to experience the horror of swallowing mouth wash without having to call poison control!

2. Sprite on Fire-
Take out everything refreshing about Sprite and add two atomic fireballs. (Note: I thought taking a swig of Sprite on Fire followed by Sprite Icy Mint would taste good. It ended up tasting like taking two sips of two horrible sodas.)

3.Fanta Orange Icy Mint Blast-
Doesn't taste that horrible, just a light orange with a slightly minty aftertast (not nearly as bad as Sprite Icy Mint), but it was still enough to make me gag after 3 sips. Orange soda + Mint? WTF!!!

4.Sunkist Grapefruit-
I chose this one because I didn't know if they have this in North America or not. It tastes EXACTLY like Squirt. EXACTLY.

5. Mountain Dew-
I love the retro packaging. For some reason, all chinese sodas taste less carbonated than US sodas.(But they have real sugar so when on tap they are amazing). Mountain Dew tasted A LOT less carbonated than it's US counter-part.(maybe my bottle was expire).

6.Mirinda-
Had it after my dad's trip to Mexico (At least I believe it was this, along with a grape soda). This stuff tastes like Frawg or any other green apple soda.

7.Vanilla Coke-
Shows no signs of being pulled of the shelves. (Side note:Most Coke bottles have WOW (World Of Warcaft)characters on them.

8.Hard to see from the pic, but the bottle is interestingly designed (and that little character is EVERYWHERE in China. Strong marketing).
Oh, and none of that "natural" crap either. This is 100% old-fashioned 7-up.

Wow!, there's a long list of interesting and mouthwatering sodas in China!

About 7UP, the little character on the bottle is Fido Dido, and you're right, it was a very famous character during the beginning of the 90's decade, and PepsiCo decided to return Fido Dido in the current worldwide campaigns of 7UP...and about the bottle... it was released a few days ago the new H2OH! by 7UP (like the one that wonkapete posted months ago) and the bottle is exactly like the chinese one but not so green...

And about Vanilla Coke... I envy you... and I envy all the chinese people! :D

Speaking of Fido Dido... too bad the Sega Genesis game featuring him was never released -- it was pretty cool.

If you are into emulation the rom is out there... but how it got leaked onto the net is beyond me. :/

I remember the Spot game, Spot was a cool mascot for 7-up.

I personally love citrus-mint drinks like Sprite Ice.
