I have seen a few coke insiders on other websites claim Coca Cola will bring back Vanilla Coke starting on 07 and will be all over the US nationwide by 08. Take this with a grain of salt but are there any coke insiders around here who want to shed some light/opinion on this rumor I keep hearing?

well if it comes back they're probably trying to get a big boost in sales by taking it away and bringing it back.. its pretty short term plan

coke needs to pull their heads out of their ..you know whats

they need to make quality > apperance

Hopefully they reformulate it, and cut down on that overpowering vanilla taste.

I've only had vanilla coke a few times, and adding your own syrup tastes better.

To be honest... I'm not huge on brand extensions, bar Mountain Dew products.

I had stopped at a rest area on the Garden State Parkway today, and there were several huttons for Vanilla Coke in the vending machine. but they looked like they had been there for a while, so I figured that I would either get Black Cherry Vanilla, regular Coke (as was the case with one vending machine in Massachusetts), or "out of order".

Well,

This is just a rumor. I will not hold my breath until something comes out.

I just hope they DON'T change the formula, as I loved the taste of it.

but of course I am just one person ;)

BREAKING NEWS:

Both a coke rep and customer service agent said Vanilla coke has been put on a temporary hiatus (we all know this) but Will most likely be added back into the market for a limited time this holiday season.

So it is true? Omg thanks for that!

From the info. I have heard I am 99% sure it will be coming back either this holiday season or early 2007, although the holiday release was told to me by a customer service rep. who said that is when they will be most likely to bring it back she was not certain.

I would recomend calling the "Coke number" 1-877-9MY-COKE (1-877-969-2653) 8am-8pm EST Mon-Fri, and try to get info. out of them. Until we get a offical statement this is all rumor.

In November 2005, Katie Bayne of Coca-Cola North America said: "We are exploring ways to bring them back at another time, but right now Diet Black Cherry Vanilla Coke and Black Cherry Vanilla Coke are what consumers are telling us they want." When commenting on Vanilla coke.

exploring ways to bring them back at another time, huh? Sounds good to me.

BBC news also reported in 2005 that: "The firm said Vanilla Coke, introduced in the US in 2002, and Diet Vanilla Coke in 2003, may return in future."

So, is this going to be re-releases during the holidays, or just a special yearly rollout during the holidays?

Any further information regarding the comeback of Vanilla Coke as discussed in this thread?

they should make vanilla coke, black cherry vanilla and lime all seasonal flavors... like alternate them.

I hope this means that Pepsi brings Pepsi Vanilla back. Oh I loved Pepsi Vanilla soooo much, it was one of my favorites ever. Maybe they will bring it back since they are always copying everything that Coke does.

A question, Vanilla Coke is completely disappeared from the map or it's still available in some areas of U.S.?

It can still be found in some fountains (here in New Jersey, they have it at several Wawa and Quick Chek convenience stores). I don't know if it's still being bottled anywhere.

why not just make your own vanilla coke - i would think you would be able to make a better version

Ok if you get a 20 oz of Pepsi or Coke, how much vanilla would you recommend to put in it to make it taste good. I'm sure it would differ for different peoples tastes, but about how much?

out here in L.A., I can still get Vanilla Coke in the fountain at Rubio's Baja grill restaurants. I just had some 2 weeks ago.

That is weird that they have Pepsi Vanilla in Missouri, and they have it about 150 miles away from where I live in KY but they dont have it where I live. Why is that?

CStoreCatMan

All based on sales. Sales can warrant it being kept around in one area but maybe not another.

I think a once a year holiday thing is the best bet for Christmas coke
