"Blue Surge (Upcoming 2007) -- Sour blue raspberry flavored Mountain Dew. Will be available in 20 oz bottles, exclusively at 7-Eleven stores in early 2007."

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mountain_Dew

hadn't seen a post about this. anyone know anything else about this new flavor supposedly coming out? i hope it's not as sour as pitch black 2! raspberry would be a good flavor though, hope they don't mess it up! :D

My fingers are cross for this new flavor yet my hopes are low. Why are the Big Three obsessed with making raspberry work as a flavor extension?

Does Pepsi can use the "Surge" word after Coca-Cola used it before as a trademark? Doesn't this will create confusion?

IMO Raspberry flavored sodas have not done very well - somehow this flavor just doesn't translate well into sodas. I'll give it a chance, though, since Mtn. Dew is my favorite big name soda pop brand.

Yayyy! This excites me. I'd rather just have Pepsi Blue back though... :-(

That sounds cool but why do they do all this exclusive stuff. I never go to 7-11 or taco bell hardly.

I really do not see that as the name. I could be wrong though

But they use real raspberry, and not flavoring.

So dissapointing that this is a 7-11 only product, as there isn't a 7-11 within at least 200 miles of where I live - the closest that I'm aware of is in St. Louis.

Living in Iowa blows.

Blue Surge? Either Pepsi is lacking creativity, or this is intended as a big "F-you" to Coke. I'm betting on the former.

And yes, Frawg is still available. smile.gif

Coke renewed the trademark for Surge early last year, so if the name of the product is indeed "Blue Surge," then Coke will probably file a lawsuit against Pepsi/Mountain Dew (and more than likely win!).

Wikipedia is unreliable on alot of things. If it is true and only comes out at 7-11's I won't be trying it. I don't know of a 7-11 within 100 miles of me in any direction. If anyone does then PLEASE TELL ME!!!!!!

Yeah...Wikipedia can be edited by any moron out there. Don't believe everything you read there! I know of a new Mtn Dew flavor coming in 2007 but it IS NOT called "Blue Surge."

I agree. Wikipedia can also be like semi true folklore. LOL

Go to http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mountain_Dew, it does not say anything about blue surge being the flavor, it just says (unreleased flavor)

i would imagine it would just be Blue Shock, that would make the most sense

Rob, Now that 7-11 owns White Hen you might start seeing more 7-11's around.
