My favorites are

Vanilla Coke
Cherry Coke
Mello Yello
Sprite
Minute Maid Valencia Orange
Mountain Dew
MD Livewire
Sunkist
A&W Cream Soda
A&W Root Beer
Coca-Cola

Favorite brand lines are probably Coke's and DPSU's. I really just don't like a lot of the upscale stuff I've bought before like Boylan's, Sprecher, and Hansen's. I guess I just have cheap HFCS tastebuds yearning for aluminum! tongue.gif

My favorites:

Favorite drinks- (for now- my tastes are always evolving)
Pepsi Blue
Dublin Dr Pepper (I'm drinking one right now)
Cheerwine
Mello Yello Melon
IBC Berries N' Cream

Favorite Line of Drinks-
The IBC line. The only ones that I haven't cared for are Cherry Cola and Black Cherry. They're just too weak and watery. They taste almost like unflavored sugar water. But their newest drinks are fine additions to the line.
Sprecher's. Out of all the ones i've tried (which isn't the entire line), the only one I didn't like was their Ginger Ale. The others are distictive and stand apart from every other drink company's flavors.
I used to love pretty much everything in the New York Seltzer line, but it's sadly gone.

I won't finish this list, because I know i'm forgetting a bunch of great sodas that deserve to go on this list. But right now, i'm drawing a blank. So i'll tack them on later.

I'm sure I'd like more non-Coke/Pepsi sodas if I tried them, but I've got an attitude where if I get any less than 20 oz. for $.99/1.09 (or equiv.), I feel like I'm not getting a good deal. Therefore, paying more for 12/16 oz. bottles of other stuff I see. Plus I like my drinks caffienated (sp?)!

I've got an attitude where if I get any less than 20 oz. for $.99/1.09 (or equiv.), I feel like I'm not getting a good deal. The only place around here that I know has Sprecher's on a regular basis is Cost Plus World Market. And their 16 oz. bottles are usually something like $.79! They don't mark up the price of the individual bottles when they break up a 4-pack. I usually stop drinking caffeinated sodas between 6-8 hours before I go to sleep, so I save the decaf drinks for then.

I’m new on this message board, so I thought I’d bring this back up to the top for other newcomers to post on too.

1.Nehi (all, especially peach)
2.Cheerwine
3.NuGrape
4.Blenheim Ginger Ale
5.A&W Root Beer
6.Briar’s Birch Beer
7.Frostie Root Beer
8.Canada Dry Ginger Ale
9.Tahitian Treat
10.Crush Orange
11.Dr. Pepper

There is another sodapop that I really love, Stoney Tangawizi (tangawizi=ginger in Swahili) from Tanzania. My job kept me overseas for the last 10 years and I traveled to Tanzania 2 or 3 times a year, that’s where I first tried it. Comes in a heavy brown returnable bottle, tastes sorta like Blenheim but without too much burn. The brand is a Coke product from Stoney Beverages of South Africa, they have it on draft at the Coke museum in Atlanta.

I have always been partial to Coke, but Pepsi and RC still hit the spot.

My favorites by line are:

Coca-Cola Pittsburgh
1. Coca-Cola Classic in glass bottles
2. Pibb Xtra from the fountain (BEST TASTING one I ever had was at the Cinemark IMAX Theatres at the Pittsburgh Mills Mall... I never had Pibb like that before)
3. Cherry Vanilla Dr. Pepper (to me tasted like Pibb)
4. Dr. Pepper

Coca-Cola in my area:
1. Coca-Cola Classic
2. Mello Yello
3. Vault
4. Barq's Red Creme Soda
5. Coke Zero
6. Vault Zero
7. Coke with Lime
8. Coca-Cola Black Cherry Vanilla
9. Sprite
10. Coca-Cola C2

Coca-Cola in general:
1. Pibb Xtra (nowhere to be found in my area despite Pepsi doing Dr. Pepper :( )
2. Tab (another Coke product not to be found in Western PA... it is one of two diet colas that I do not dislike)
3. Fanta Birch Beer (Coke has a winner here, but it is NOWHERE to be found in PA... which frustrates me to no end)
4. Surge (NEVER WAS PRODUCED IN MY AREA... I liked it the couple of times I got to try it... had to go to Pittburgh to get it :( )

Pepsi:
1. Mountain Dew Baja Blast
2. Mountain Dew
3. Pepsi Vanilla
4. Diet Mug Root Beer
5. Sierra Mist Free
6. Mug Root Beer
7. Mountain Dew Code Red
8. Mountain Dew Livewire
9. Pepsi Holiday Spice
10. Pepsi Blue

Other:
1. Dad's Root Beer (done by a bottler in New Castle, PA... great Root Beer, one of my favorites)
2. Stewart's Ginger Beer (has a peppery feel to it)
3. Weis Diet White Birch Beer (diet birch beer that does not suck at all... store brand at that!)
4. DNL
5. RC Cola
6. Big Red Creme Soda (I hope we get the Vanilla Float version... not counting on it though)
7. Dr. Pepper Red Fusion (LOVED IT... disappeared competely from my area :( )
8. Yoo-Hoo Original Chocolate
9. Yoo-Hoo Strawberry
10. Faygo Redpop

Soft drinks I would have liked to try:

Mello Yello extentions Afterglow, Cherry, and Melon. - I never heard of these until coming here; Coke here never produced them, nor made any mention of their existance (way to promote a product). What is odd is we have the original Mello Yello everywhere here (cans and 20oz). A melon or peach Mello Yello sounds great. :(

Pepsi Kona - never made it to the Pepsi here... I saw a bottle of it in person ONCE in Atlantic City, NJ.

Tab Clear - Coke here must not like to do many new things; we NEVER got this product in this area

Fanta Berry - another product our Coke here didn't bother doing (we had the 4 fruit flavors Strawberry, Grape, Orange, and Pineapple for 6 months in 2002... now we just have Orange)

Pibb Zero - this is pretty much going to require a road trip, because unless Coke here starts producing Pibb again, I will NEVER get to try this product

I just wish I lived in a area where new soft drinks were given a chance.
- Cherry Vanilla Dr. Pepper was only produced by Pepsi here for a couple months... meanwhile Coke in Pittsburgh STILL produces it.
- Coke here only did Mr. Pibb/Pibb Xtra from 1998-2002.
- Coke here did not do Sprite until 1998 (and Sprite has been out for how many years now?)

Sorry for the rant, it just frustrates me to have good and new products just pass by this area as if they never existed.

At least I see Vault and Slice ONE, but who knows for how long... Still, I am thankful to be able to try Vault at all. And at least we had Pibb in stores for 4 years...better than no years at all.

I burnt myself out on Pepsi Vanilla really fast.

Pepsi Twist is BY FAR my favorite soda! I liked the old formula better though....
