CitrusCola

While looking around an antique store over the weekend, I came across a "Mint Cola" bottle that was dated "79" and labeled "A blend of cola, mint, and citrus flavors." The bottle was of the same style that the folks at Carolina Beverage used for Cool Moon and Caravan Dry Ginger Ale in the 1970s.
I did read that Cheerwine was created as a derivative of a "Mint Cola" that was produced in Salisbury, NC during the early 1900s. Did the makers of Cheerwine bring back Mint Cola at some point in the late 1970s?
