the new coke dynamic ribbon. yay or nay?

i'm not sure anyone else has noticed, but coke has changed the dynamic ribbon/wave on the new coke zero packaging. it's elongated and flat.

the same ribbon is now showing up on coke's packaging in japan.

personally, i don't like the new ribbon. for me, it's like the coca-cola script, and shouldn't be tamptered with.

(note: i don't mind if they add bubbles or splash effects to the wave. i just don't think they should change the shape).

does anyone else have an opinion on this?

Well in all fairness, Coke has tweeked the Dynamic Ribbon before.

The late 80's 90's wave that went through the Coke Script looks nothing like the orgnial.

The current Coke Classic ribbon sort of looks like the orgnial, but not quite.

The new Coke Zerom ribbon looks ok, and more like the orginal from the 70's

the current "digital" wave/ribbon they use on most of their products such as Coke classic looks great, it looks like a more modern touch to a classic logo.

The mono-tone one color 70s/early 80s logo was nice at the time but far too plain by todays standards.

i like the design overall, but not that watered-down wave. boo!
