My girlfried was in TN last year and picked me up some Double Cola. I didn't know it still existed. It was in this cool carton. Looks like a blue jean patch on the carton:

My dad had an ancient (probably from the 70's) Double Cola box. He had old newspapers in it for years, but then the box got ruined because our attic waterheater was above the closet, and the waterheater leaked, and everything on the top shelf of the closet got ruined--including the box.
I'll double check, but I'm sure its gone.

What does Double Cola taste like?
Is it a real intense Classic Coke taste?

Zabe, BevNET reviewed it.

Thanks, I shall take a look at it.

It is very good. It has a much smoother taste than Coke, is a little sweeter, but not as sweet as Pepsi. They still bottle it here and there. Have fun looking for it.

I just read the review on BevNet.
You guys on this board could write a much better review. Who are these reviews written for "suits"
or educated consumers. I also read Coke Zero's
review, all I will say is that the review was pretty lame. :(

Do not drink that stuff hot. It's like a fireball being shot down your throat.
(Good cold, though)
The same company also markets Ski, a Mountain Dew-ish drink that was mentioned in a song by the Kentucky Headhunters, and Jumbo, a line of fruit flavors.
You see the product here and there, mostly in small stores that cannot afford their own store brand. Main popularity band seems to be the upper inland south. HQed in Chattanooga.
All of their products are quite fierce, heavier on the flavorings than mainline brands.

Double Cola is a great cola. Smoother then the big two, kinda similar to RC imo. Whenever I drive through Tennessee I try to grab a few cases. Really awesome in the 16 ounce refillable bottles but I have not been able to get my hands on any of those in awhile.
