I know someone out there other than myself likes Big Red Soda.
Does anyone know where I can find it in Virginia? Please don't say Lynchburg, VA. because I just got back from there just today, because I was told by the company that Lynchburg is the furthest North that it is distributed.
If anyone knows for a fact where I can find it in VA or even NC, please leave me a note.

I wish I could tell you where in Virginia it is, but I live in GA. It is sold everywhere here. I just want to say that I love that drink and you're not alone!!!

I have had Big Red once. I found it at a Exxon station in Staunton, Virginia a few weeks ago. I had some and well....it wasn't exactly my taste.

I'm From the Washington DC Area.

There used to be a 7 - 7 MART (Groceries) that would sell cold cans of Big Reds. Unfortunetly it closed a couple of months back. I know that the restaurant DON PABLO'S sells bottles of Big Reds as a gourmet drink ($1.50).

I need to find some place where I can buy them by the case.

I too am searching for Big Red in Virginia. I live in the DC area and have to rely on Don Pablos.

I called Big Red in Waco and they told me that there is a company in Salem (Roanoke area), VA that distributes Big Red called Blue Ridge Bottling.

In Norfolk and Richmond area, you MAY want to try the RC distributor or the 7Up distributor in the area. They are pretty weak in those 2 locales of Virginia but for some reason I am believing the 7Up distributor has Big Red in Norfolk/Virginia Beach area. And yes, they are 2 different distributors while typically throughout the rest of the country they are combined as one.

Big Red soda is highly availably in Omaha/Lincoln Nebraska due to University of Nebraska's nickname "big red". I don't know who distributes it though.

Well it is no doubt that you can get Big Red in Texas. Do you realize Big Red was started in Waco, Texas? Thats the same town that Dr Pepper started.
The distributor/bottler is Dr Pepper-Houston. So therefore, it is no doubt you should be able to find Big Red in Houston.
Just like you can find Big Red in Dallas.
Best of look elsewhere outside of the deep south and southwest.

I too live in the DC area and would love to
find Big Red near here. I've heard about
Blue Ridge bottling but haven't gotten any
info about the stores that they distribute
the product to. I've emailed them (they didn't reply), perhaps I should call them.

A while back I visit Roanoke and tries some
supermarkets but had no luck.

I heard that there is a bottling company in Charlotte, NC that produces Big Red in cans. I live in Fayetteville, NC and would like to know where I can find Big Red any closer to me? Someone please help me. I love Big Red and hated to leave it behind in TX.

I have the best luck finding premium, rare sodas at convience stores, or gas station stores. Usually displayed in large floor coolers with the bottles on ice. About $1 each. They are hit and miss though, here one week, gone the next.

I can tell you one thing. You can't find Big Red in NC. Well you can find it in like 16 oz bottels at some gas stations. Your best bet is in Kentucky. I went there this summer and stocked up on B.R.

I am in Minneapolis. WHERE IS IT SOLD IN ST. PAUL??? We just finished the 20 24-packs that we brought back from Louisville ni September. HELP!!! Nothing says summer like a Big Red Float.

You can try out a place called Marcel's in Mpls. They had it once... probably still have it, in long neck glass. That's the best if you can find it!

Always remember... Don't follow the can drinkers to the chicken bone recycling bin!

Hey there...
I saw Big Red in 20 oz plastic bottles in Concord, NC. I've also heard rumors that the Cheerwine distributor in Greensbor NC was considering carrying it! I tryed it, and it tastes just like bubble gum to me.

MMMMMMMMMM.... bubble gum!

It's carried by the DPSU bottler in Morgantown/Fairmont/Clarksburg, WV and I saw it in 20 oz., 12 packs, and 2 liters, so it's farther north than Salem, VA.

NEW Big Red sighting.....
basically, all over the city of Danville, VA. I've seen it in 12pk cans, 2L, 20 oz bottles. It's in regular, caf. free, and diet. in the 12pks and 2L at the Wal-Mart there!

And please, someone help me! I'm having a Barq's attack. Must need Barq's!

06-22-2003, 01:23 AM
Can't find Barq's? Here it's everywhere, doesn't matter what Coke distributor you try, they got tons of the stuff.

Big Red should be available anywhere American Bottling produces product. They're putting it in 12 packs, 2L's, 1/2 liter 6 packs, and 20 oz. All over Western PA now, along w/Sun Drop.

06-22-2003, 11:41 AM
All-American has Big Peach and Big Punch too.

06-22-2003, 05:51 PM
American Bottling has neither that I've seen, just Big Red.
