Any signs of dnl in the south yet? (Georgia or SC preferably?)

Well, Southeast Atlantic took over the 7Up franchise in this area the first of the year...they've already put Cherry 7Up back on the shelves although I've not seen dnL or Diet Cherry 7Up yet. I guess we will see.

Looks like Pepsi Greenville is still selling 7 UP.

I have heard that they are droping 7 UP, one of the last ones to give in.

Once RC Greenville gets its hands on 7 UP you will
see dnl.

The little 2-county independent Pepsi bottler we compete with in Maryland is giving up 7-Up at the end of this month. They've ran out of 2 liters, and they've been shifting them among accounts to keep their shelf space and coverage. They've also been buying cans from RC Winchester. 120 cases to a pallet, packaged in flats (how stupid).

But they've also got Mist in their warehouse, and they are actually selling it at one chain, maybe more. Something just seems wrong about that.. Selling both of them at the same time. But that's just me.

This is slightly off topic but has anyone seen dnL in cans or 2 liter bottles yet? We still only have 20oz. here and only in a few stores.

It's in the Dallas area in cans and bottles, too.

Theoretical rollout of non-20oz sizes was Feb first but with so many diffrent bottlers it is pretty much whenver they get around to it.

I am guessing the larger bottlers will probably have access to take home packages of dnL first..then the smaller bottlers. The small guys aren't always as quick to get the authorizations in the chains. I'll be looking for it here in Delaware, since we have a pretty big Canada Dry anchor bottler (Honickman) here. But I figure he'll probably launch it in NY/NJ first.

The old 7up bottlers get it first then the new ones.

The Shop 'N Save chain of grocery stores seems to be getting dnL 2 liters. I found them at the Center Twp. (Beaver Co.) PA store today. JOY!!

ok I FINALLY found some dnL today! I was at a gas station and it is infamous for never having reciepts at the pumps (they never reload the paper), so I go in to get it (probably a trick to get people to come in the store to buy more stuff... It worked). Thankfully, this store has some nice drinks, including tons of Glass Nehi, blue nehi, etc etc. It even had Glass 7up which I have never seen. Well dnL catches my eyes, so I have to buy one... and the verdict? It tastes like Surge, with a very fruity (better) aftertaste. Overall, not a bad drink! You Surge people should really enjoy this new stuff... its not your beloved Surge, but its up there! (and its very very GREEN)

SURGE fans are indeed loving the dnL! I will be buying loads of it when it comes out in cans & 2 liters. We're getting lots of letters from people who really, really like it.

No sign of 2-liter bottles, although the 20-ounce is popping up in different places here in NY (Exit Deli, CVS, Rite-Aid, and D'Ag).

It's a great alternative to Surge, but I'm worried that it'll suffer the same fate because there has been little to no advertising for it here in NY! There are posters displayed in areas where you can't find a single bottle for sale, and (although I don't watch a lot of TV these days) I've yet to see a commercial for it!

Still no dnL at CVS, Rite-Aid was all out of it, BUT Pathmark in Bedford-Stuyvesant had 4 bottles and 7-11 on Long Island had 8 (so my friend & I split the latter!). tongue.gif

I have seen one ad for dnL in my life with the seven up guy talking about "Upside Down 7up=dnL. I love this stuff, its so surgey except if you combibne green squall powerade with 7up and Sunny D you get the ultamite surge combo.
