Cheerwine is a southern based cherry flavored soda that has a very distintative taste. The company is based out of Salsbury North Carolina. It is very sweet and has a dark red color. It is available every way you can think of, cans, glass, 20oz, 2ltrs and even cheerwine ice cream. It is also available in fountain but I have only seen those in north carolina at sheetz and fuddruckers.
Where I live in southwestern virginia availability is quite abundant. 12 packs usually run around 3.49 but I have gotten it as low as 4 for 10 and 5 for 10 before at kroger and food lion. The company website is www.cheerwine.com, (http://www.cheerwine.com,) the best is the 12 oz longneck with cane sugar.

Cheerwine sherbet is also kick-ass good.
Cheerwine is meant to be drank out of longnecks. It just doesn't taste the same otherwise!
