View Full Version : How to Decide if Certain Ingredients Belong in Soft Drinks

If an ingredient doesn't occur in nature without a chemical process in a lab, then it doesn't belong in your beverages and in your body.
Humans were not meant to consume wood rosin, HFCS, artificial sweeteners, and other horrid things they put in our food and drink.

Well, but poison berries and mushrooms occur naturally - does that mean that we should eat them?

Then maybe we should throw out all of the medicines out there too! http://scorpius.150m.com/master/smilie/eatsmiley.gif

Obviously you would never eat poisoned berries, and yes, we do need the medicines, but hopefully most of us don't ingest the latter on a daily basis.
The most common artificial sweeteners all have negative side effects, both on the body and when they are altered and expelled by the body.
For me, I try to stay away from as much artificial stuff as possible. If you look at the rise of cancers in relation to the introduction of artificial ingredients and heavily processed foods into our environment, there's an apparent correlation.
