Anyone ever heard or seen it?

01-19-2004, 11:19 PM
yeah, i've seen it around.

i have no idea who is producing it, i hear it tastes like water.

I am distributing it.....want me to send you one to taste? .... so that you can lose the "WHAT IVE HEARD" line.

nope, thanks though. i don't drink sissy beer.

who makes it though, is this a major brewery or is it like clausthaler, somewhere out of the dark?

I like a real beer as well, but this "sissy" beer does sell.....thanks Mr Atkins.

hope this helps with your question.

Coors n Coors light now has their own low carb ....ASPEN EDGE! tastes pretty good! for a border line NA.

Interesting, is it available nationwide already? I haven't seen it around here yet

I'm ccourious if this beer is a mass pproduced beer or a microobrewed beer. Hell i saw they were selling bud in germney now.

Whatw as it there was ana rticle about how buudwizer has excluive rights to sell there beer in germney for the worlf cup I believe . All the craft brewers are up in arms over there over this.

Its amazing how anyboody will jump ona bandwagon that makes there bottom line fatter. Hasen't light beers always been low carb? Its now just shiek to say low carb in adds just to sell a few beers.

out of the big 3 (bud, coors, miller) 2 have introed a low carb, Bud w/Mich Ultra and now Coors w/ Aspen Edge. Miller is the co. calling "LITE" the original low carb beer.

What happens when this low carb phase peters out ... is "Lite" still a low carb or will they go back to "tastes great ... less filling"?

Martens brewery is an independent medium-size Belgium family-brewery. I read somewhere they produced 600.000 hl/year, but I don't know if this was before or after they lost 30 % of their turn-over (and had to lay off 30 people) due to troubles with their export to Germany.

07-13-2004, 05:30 PM
do they only make the low-carb, just like clausthaler only makes NA?

07-13-2004, 06:28 PM
No Martens makes a whole range of beers. Mainly for the discount market, I thought.

As for Clausthaler, that's not a brewery but the NA brand of the Binding brewery in Frankfurt Germany.
