several new low-carbs in the mix including...

one by miller (with added electrolytes)
labatt sterling
molson ultra

molson is redesigning the chiller pack 36-pack of cans in the cooler, with 18 canadian and 18 canadian light

molson's also putting out 8.4oz slim cans for bars.

and in august, molson's releasing the 55-can "pregamer" pack. it weighs 47 pounds.

also, molson will be introducing the 28pack of cans in the shape of a tire.

labatt will have fridgepacks starting in mid june

dos equis has come out with the "double dos," which is half dos equis special lager (or green) and half dos equis amber (brown). 24pk bottles.

we just got labatt 18pk cans in as well, and we've pretty much phased out labatt's mountain packs (20pk cans in double layers of ten, in the shape of a triangle).

15pks of guinness cans at all sam's clubs.

also, the official black and tan mixing kit.
8 cans of guinness, a 12pk of harp lager, a mixing spoon and brochure on how to do it, all in one box. these things are pretty badass.

foster's, coors light are both in the midst of logo changes

Most of these pacakges sounds cool. I know of a German company that brought their beer out here. I wish I could think of their name, anyway, they changed their packaging to a 7-pack, one for each day of the week. Did not go over well. But with a big name brand, I dont see how adding more cans or bottles could hurt the brand.
As for the black and tan...I can not stand Guiness, but I think the idea is awsome and should increase Harps sales even more.

there's also a raspberry flavored killian's in the works, probably in response to raspberry being the beer flavor dujour of microbrews

we're getting 12pks of smirnoff twisted, 3 bottles of green, orange, raspberry and cranberry

mike's hard lemonade light is being reformulated.

old milwaukee is getting a new logo.

we just got in twelvepacks of bluemoon bottles as well.

more packages seem to arrive daily.

labatt select is out in the northern states. low carb canadian light lager.

also, molson's 55-packs of cans are 36 canadian, and 19 canadian light.

for the holidays, molson is planning a mix twelvepack with 3 of the following:
molson golden
molson canadian
molson canadian light
molson EXPORT!

they are planning on relaunching molson export slowly, first in the mix pack, and then in the sixpacks again.

SLEEMANS LOW CARB HAS BEEN OUT FOR SOME TIME NOW.

I still think that the whole low-carb craze is petering out.
See it through out my regions!

I see all the low carbs being tried, but none sticking except the michelob. All the others peter out after the first month

Aren't you from Detroit? I sorry if I am mistaken but I thought the last time I visited this board a long time ago I spoke with you. Do you work for one of the companies. ie bud, tri county.

Molson Export Ale is coming in April to the US.

Carlsberg and Smithwick's both made big splashes, and Warsteiner sales have been picking up since their logo change.

Michelob's aluminum bottles are hitting select areas in an attempt to rejuvenate a pretty dead brand.

Mike's Berry is hitting the streets, and it uses real juice in it. It's fantastic tasting. ALso, The Melon and Black Cherry flavors of the Smirnoff Twisted line have seemingly slowed the sales of Green Apple quite a bit, while Mandarin Orange seems to have rejuvenated.

do you know what areas will get the michelob aluminum bottles in stores, or do you just mean clubs/bars?

i will have to try that mikes berry, i dont drink mikes regularly, but have tried all their current flavors.. they are all good, including the 1 carb stuff and particularly the lime. any idea of a low carb lime?

melon and black cherry smirnoff twisted they really seemed to get the flavors right, they are delicious and destroy the flavors of the regular twisted lineup.. green apple is okay, but kinda blah considering you can get a green apple that tastes good thats low-carb from bacard silver...

Robot
03-19-2005, 02:09 PM

Smirnoff Ice Low-Carb is being discontinued. As is Skyy Blue.

In Michigan, all value beer brands are switching from 24pk cans to 30pk cans. This includes Miller High Life, Busch, Milwaukee's Best, Natural and Keystone.

Molson Export is now available in 6pk bottles, and possibly 12pk bottles.

Smirnoff has come out with a "party pack." actually, there is two different ones. There's a 24pk bottle with Twisted Raspberry, Melon, Cherry and Apple for Sam's Club. There's also a 12pk bottle with Raspberry, Melon, Cherry and Smirnoff Ice for all other stores.

We have just gotten in 18pk bottles of Heineken.

We've had "high gloss" 24pk loose bottles of Corona for Sam's as well.

We also have 15pk cans of Guinness, for Sam's.

Finally, we have gotten in 18pk plastic 16oz bottles of Coors Light.

And you pop guys complain about too many packages!

wish they woulda attempted smirnoff ice low-carb nationwide, never once saw it anywhere..

how much is the party pack at sams? I assume about $12-14 for the 12pack in stores?

Hey, did this ever come out? I know its an old topic, but I'm just curious.

Robot

hmm very interested about the grape smirnoff twisted..

i wonder if bacardi silver will follow with a grape version of their own..

any word on if any of the current smirnoff twisted flavors will get axed than?

i'll definately try this out; the watermelon twisted/silvers were really good.

RunWithDaLilGuy
10-10-2005, 07:19 PM
no. we thought the orange might be getting axed but they finally changed the graphics on it to go with the others. i think there's just going to be six of them. also, smirnoff ice updated it's graphics a little.

supposedly there is a new mike's flavor in the works but we won't find out about it for a few months.
