I've always wondered. How can a low calorie drink be labeled an energy drink? Aren't calories a measure of energy?
Caffeine does not provide energy, its a stimulant. Black coffee is not an energy drink - add 6 teaspoons of sugar, then you may have one.
What do you guys think?

Lolli's Slimming Pop.... low carb (for those of you who have ceded the word "carbohydrate" to the British) and energy to boot. Great stuff; like drinking cotton candy and with virtually zero calories...

Well, the "energy drinks" use other stimulants and minerals and vitamins that help do this and that and give this and stop that. That is why it is an energy drink. Jolt, Mt. Dew, drinks like that are considered energy drinks. Kcals are a mesurment of energy.

If it gives you energy and you see the value in paying 2 bucks.... it must be an energy drink! ;)

According to Austrian law an energy drink must have sugar in order to call it an energy drink. Sugar = carbohydrates.
