I believe the numbers but where did you get them. And is it only a top ten list or is it longer?

No one is saying they are in trouble. What we are saying is that RB is looking to go direct.

Maybe not this year or next...... but it looks like it is coming!

I expect 2004 to be RB best year but I think you will see little growth in 2005 in the USA.

I predict a new line of products will be coming out that has the kick but none of the bad taste.

This new product will cut into RB sales. Expect leveling in 2005.

you sound like all the pesimists that were spouting the crap your saying ("RB is done too much competition, this is their best year, they will flattin out") when I worked for RB 2 years ago.

TELL ME MR BUSINESS SAVVY....
why do you predict this?

Is it because of your hatred?
Is it you jealousy?
Or is it all the dust from the SP bottles in your peabrain clouding your judgement?

What info, track history, #s, revolutionary product do you have to back this prediction?

You have nothing!!

Just like all the others that have said RB will fade 5, 4, 3, 2 years ago!
Just like all the people that said Coke will fade!

Forget it eDUD! your predictions/opinions are at best a fart in the wind!

RB will continue to grow and prosper!

Buzz, The numbers came from Information Resources Inc. and the list I have only list the top ten.

Edud, you've made several comments in a different thread saying that RB has only shown a 4% growth in $ sales but these numbers show 68.53%, that's a big difference when you're talking these dollar figures and not the few thousand dollars that your drink has sold(I believe the #'s for Sum Poosie was around $750,000 for 52 weeks) but that came from a different source. I know it's hard for you to comprehend numbers as big as Red Bulls if these numbers are correct.

hold up......750k?
I personnaly sold just under that much RB 2 yrs ago when I worked for them. and I was on an Island! and RB wasnt collecting dust either!

Oh and eDUD, has SP sold 750k so far this year? if so thats called 68.53% growth. Probably not though.

I want you to respond to my catching you on a few posts back!

Well, RB has enjoyed huge growth in the USA over the last few years. My point is that if you match 2004 numbers to 2005 I believe you will see some leveling. I think RB has peaked in 2004 and I do not see huge gains of the past in their future. I see some leveling and I don't think that is alarming I think it is a product that has matured and done as well as its going to do.

Look at the huge growth numbers over the last few years...... you will not see that when you compare 2004 to 2005. Just my opinion.

RB next big money making move will be going direct in the next 3 years.

Just my opinion..... we shall see!

I love how before Edude saw the numbers he said 2004 will show no growth, but now its 2005. When I was selling other energy drinks, everyone had their trash talking about Red Bull, and how they were better, or how RB sales were falling and all this other crap. That was over the last 5 years, and RB's numbers keep going up. Even when I got hired, I didnt think there was really anything extra to do with RB than just take orders. But I was wrong, RB has more room to grow and a lot of programs to keep it looking good and selling fast. Its really something people dont understand untill they work for RB. No one will convince Edude that going direct would kill RB, but thats because he doesnt understand what it takes to keep a brand #1.
That number of SP sales $750,000. I will sell more than that in RB in just my 6 city route in the year. In fact, I will probably do that in my first 8-9 months. What does that tell you about sales. Not a slam in SPs face, for a first year, getting almost 1 mil. in sales is pretty good (although I perfer to go off depletion reports rather than total purchaces). But then again, what was that blue bottled drink that was supposed to make women horney? Niagra I think. They had to of done a few mill in their first year, but nothing after that. Anyway, back to the point of this post. Edude, RB wont go direct, you can keep your opinion, but you have no idea about how Red Bull keep their product #1. There have been a lot of drinks that have come out with more caffiene, taste more sodaish, have better this or that, but no one can come close. RB was among the first out here. Spent a lot of money to keep them on peoples minds, and have to big of a following to just go away. No other drink has done what RB has done, its amazing.

Ron that is not what I said at all. I said that I feel RB will peak in 2004 and I see leveling in 2005. That.... is what I said. Yes, I could be wrong.... we shall see.

This is an open forum and you can agree or disagree all you want, that is why this sometimes wonderful board is here.

750k number that was mentioned is what I do in sales on SumPoosie. What the company does as a whole I have no idea.

PLEASE READ BELOW IT CONTAINS IMPORTANT INFORMATION ABOUT A NEW PRODUCT COMING TO MARKET.

This new product is:

Going to come in a very small container

It is going to look bad

It is going to smell bad

It is going to taste really bad

It is going to cost 10 times more than Coke or Pepsi

And if you drink too much of it you are going to get the shakes and a horrible stomach ache.

The Product is called......... RB

Who would have thought an aid to drinking more would be so important.

cost 10 times more than Coke or Pepsi? Wow, wish I could find 20 cent pepsi and coke. Even Coke in its 8 oz can costs 99 cents. Oh yeah, default to your 64 oz fountain drinks that dont stay fresh.
I think package looks good, doesnt smell bad to me, unless its been spilled and not cleaned up, then the smell is horrible. I like the taste, as do millions. I have never gotten the shakes or a horrible stomach ache.

Its not an aid to drink more, just something that seems to be popular and mix well.

But again with your opinion, here is mine.

Terrible packaging with pornographic art work.
Unoriginal bottle.
Smells way to sweet.
Looks like cherry 7-up.
Very expensive, and hard to find.

ITS SUM POOSIE...
your right, this board can be fun

I appreciate that for once you came back and said it was your opinion, you could be wrong, but thoes were your thoughts. And I am fine with that, as most of the board should be.

Good evening,

I was wonderingif you could check on an up and coming energy drink known as XS energy. I believe this is the number one energy drink in the US. XS energy is number 2 in the world though, secong to Red Bull. XS energy is moving about a million cans every three days in the US. That is about 121,667,000 cans every year or $243,334,000 in US sales. The company has plans to go international in the near future. Please let me know what you find, thanks Norm

P.S. In The year 2001, XS energy only moved about 1 million cans that year, but in as of recent, they are moving 1 miilion cans every three days or about a million cases every month. That is some serious growth!!! I know compared to RB International, our numbers are from from first, but when you compare the US sales of XS to RB, we got RB beat by about $100,000,000 or so.
Again, please let me know what you all find. Thank you Gentleman.

This quixstar thing is starting to sound very similar to a cult. all these XS people sound as if they are brainwashed or something! Norm, XS does not, and won't ever, come close to Red Bull. WHERE ARE YOU GETTING THESE VOLUME #'s FROM?? Last time I checked, the grand wizard/grand pubbah or whaterever you call him, was not an accurate source of information. Please present Nielson/IRI data, or some other standard source that we on earth use to analyze information. Also, please check yourself into the nearest deprogramming center ASAP!

According to AC Nielsons, XS is part of the 2.6% group known as "other". XS has no major role in the energy drink game. Sorry to bust your bubble there norm. Maybe XS sell 1,000,000 oz. of XS per month. But trust me, they are not even a blip on the radar and can not be found in stores. Not sure who told you that info, but they are definatly wrong.
