I tried this product at the NAC show and I can tell you now it is ANOTHER failed product by Coke.

How can a company with Billions of dollars have no idea what people want. How can they continue to fail with new products over and over again???

This dumb drink contains over 50 grams of sugar!!!

Nice try but get a clue Coke !!!

Dont almost all of the 16 oz energy drinks have around 50 grams of sugar? What did it taste like to you? Did they try and create their own flavor or did they go after the "energy drink" taste?

10-23-2004, 07:52 PM
Why are we feeding people 50+ grams of HFCS????

Ron Swedelson
10-23-2004, 08:12 PM
You didnt answer my question though. You need to quit asking why are we feeding these people the HFCS. Ask people why they feel they need to dirnk it? If no body bought it, coke and everyone else would not use it. Start looking to the consumers and not the suppliers to much.

10-23-2004, 11:09 PM
The 16 oz energy drinks are getting pretty saturated.

Full Throttle Energy Drink is another burning sensation for Coke. Coke Recycles Products all over the world, one countries trash is another's treasure.

How many grams of sugar does SP have?

11-08-2004, 11:13 PM

I just tried Full Throttle on Friday. I cant say that it is bad, but it is definatly not good. Tastes somewere between a really flat mixture of Squirt and Sprite or some cheap lemon-lime margarita mix without the tequilla. It was too sweet for me, I almost got a stomach ache after drinking 1/4 of it. But if coke is smart, that drink is probably a very good mixer. It will be interesting to see what they do with it.

12-06-2004, 08:34 AM

Has it already launched in your market?

12-06-2004, 08:07 PM
I hear that Full Throttle is citrus dose it taste anything like Mello Yello or Surge

Ron Swedelson
12-06-2004, 08:21 PM
Yeah it was lanuched in my market last month. It sort of tastes like a very bad surge. Its just weird. I think it would make an awsome mixer, but straight up, I could not even finish 1/4 of it. But that is just me. Im not a big drinker of sweet drinks. I drink Diet Coke. Id be interested to see how this drink does when Coke launches it everywere.

cant wait to try it...

But its Pure Cane sugar not HFCS...so almost 60g. of sugar is ok in 16 oz. of SP...but in anything else...well it could have only come from the anti-christ.

Nothing is good or bad except by comparison.
Better to enjoy Pure Cane Sugar than HFCS any day any time any place.

Just ask anyone who drank Soft Drinks before 1980.

12-10-2004, 08:06 AM
Coca-Cola changed to HFCS in 1985 when they re-formulated and launched "New Coke" (gagggg).

But Edude...would you stop someone from drinking 2 bottles of SP back to back? Its nothing against your product, but I just want to make sure you dont have a problem with someone drinking 32 oz. of energy drink and almost 60 gs. of sugar. If I could find it in a club I would probably drink 3 in a night, but I would like to know your take?

i tried full throttle today.. found some in IL just put out.

i really liked it.. it tasted alot like KMX,.. sort of a citrus KMX spinoff...

its too much sugar for me in terms of an energy drink, but i do really like the flavor.. if they made a sugar-free version i'd probably get it all the time.

as is, its going to be sugar free red bull, low carb monster, sugar free sobe: adrenaline rush and if i can find it, sugar free sobe no fear.

if i am going to drink an energy drink that has sugar, ill go with regular red bull and nothing else generally speaking.

Beware of all the salt in sugar free or regular RB.

How great it is to be young have have the last worry on your mind be, "How much salt is in my drink" Its great that I dont have to worry about that stuff.

12-15-2004, 07:39 PM
There's salt in Red Bull

12-16-2004, 12:04 AM
if anyone hears anything about a sugar free full throttle please post it!

12-17-2004, 07:08 PM
full throttle is one of the worst energy drinks i have ever tasted. does not stand a chance

12-17-2004, 07:59 PM
you must not have liked KMX than?

i really like the flavor/style of energy drink coke does, it has an odd taste to it, but i like it... just wish they had a diet version.

12-19-2004, 10:07 PM
I don't think there will be a sugar free Full Throttle (I also don't think there was a sugar free KMX). Jimmy O'Sullivan, dose you drink any non-sugar free soda? Like I used to drink sugar free sodas (excluding Diet Coke) but now I just can't stand them.

12-20-2004, 04:16 PM
Full Throttle seen in CT and RI...tasted it and wasnt impressed...

12-20-2004, 05:27 PM
i drink almost all sguar free or low carb (monster low-carb/7up plus) stuff... however, i will occasionally have a regular soda as a treat or with a meal rarely (if i eat at taco bell, ill probably have a baja blast)..

12-22-2004, 08:24 AM
In the DFW area, Full Throttle is all over the radio airwaves but is not in ANY stores yet! Only Coke would spend money to advertise empty shelves.

12-26-2004, 07:06 PM

12-28-2004, 08:05 AM
A Coke Rep told me Full Throttle will hit the market this week in the DFW area.

12-28-2004, 04:21 PM
humm bye bye KMX hello Full Throttle (you better taste good)

12-30-2004, 09:59 AM
Tried Full Throttle yesterday. Still wondering why today.

12-30-2004, 10:23 AM
Hey Jimmy... have you tried "XS"?

12-30-2004, 10:42 PM
full throttle is good but wont be getting it again til there is sugar free.

i have tried XS, it was hard to track down but i managed to find it and tried a couple flavors, i remember really liking one of them but i cant ever find it...

if i could get XS in bulk i'd certainly do that...

in the mean time ill probably stick to monster low-carb from sam's club at $29 a case.

01-02-2005, 08:23 PM

01-03-2005, 09:01 AM
Tried FT again this morning, just in case I got a bad can last week. The can was fine the taste was bad. It has some sort of a weird aftertaste...kind of like it has real juice in it (but I know it doesn't).

01-03-2005, 10:19 AM
i misspell things all the time and use bad grammer on purpose just to upset you highly educated peoples.

Ron Swedelson
01-03-2005, 12:37 PM
boodoo is right...there is some sort of weird aftertaste with FT.

02-07-2005, 10:43 PM
Tried Full Throttle for the first time today. Way too sweet, too much HFCS! No vitamin after taste!, read the label...not much in vitamin content! sunny d has more! In fact, it is just an oversweetened soda! How could BEVNET give this stuff 31/2 stars? Most disgusting stuff I ever tasted! Couldn't finish it! YUK!
