Have the AC Nielsons come out for 2004 for energy drinks? If anybody has them can you post them, or at least a link to where I can get them.

I get them monthly for my vast area and would post but I would not want to upset Eking. Okay, No Fear gives us a hell of a run, but hitting bottom? Man, not even close. And this obviously does not even touch the bar and restaurant industry where Red Bull overwhelmingly dominates.

By the way, Eking...not starting a beef or anything. It's just you said "just as long as Red Bull is hitting Bottom" in your post and I thought I'd make the point that...ah, screw it. You get the picture.

Fruity what I am saying is that dont expect Red Bull to always be where it is. One of these days it will hit #2 then 3 and so on. Just look at where RC Cola is these days, and it use to be a big seller.

No Fear gives you some heat out there...wow...Last numbers I got here is RB @ 59% market share, Rock Star at 23% and No Fear down at abour 1-2%. But I know CA is a crazy RB market, first market were RB was launched in the US and has been growing rapidly since 97.

So does anyone have the numbers yet? I am curious to see if Rockstar or Monster have gained anything on Red Bull.

I have a meeting with RB Corp. on Thurs., I will see if they have anything.

Just a question Ron, in your personal opinion and knowledge of RB where would you say RB is the weakest market segment, Midwest, East, South... states if you would happen to know them.

I would say towards the south. I know just over a year ago I worked with a distributor in KT that was just starting with RB in their area. 9.9 out of 10 stores we went in to were like "Whats and Energy Drink", or "What is RB, and how much is that again". I was not even working for RB at the time but would tell stores..."Trust me, you want this brand."
So I guess some areas in the south, and just less populated areas like Wyoming. As far as actuall numbers and which market is actually the weakest, I have no data on that and cant tell you anything more that my opinion.

Hey Ron, did you ever get the latest market share numbers?

I saw some for SF market, but only drug and conv. stores...no chains yet. Still looks like a 59% RB and 21% RS lead. singles have had a little growth while SF and 4 packs for RB jumped a big percentage. Ill try to get specifics when I go back to work on Mon.
