Tab....the worst selling label from Coke so they exband the brand to appeal to women as an energy drink. Am I missing something?

Probably not. Very good point.

Then again the vast majority of young gals to gals in their forties have never tasted nor heard of Tab soda pop. So to them the brand name Tab means nothing.

As a reformed Tab drinker, Tab brings back less than great memories of a poor tasting soda pop. I agree with boodoo, I would bury the brand name Tab and let it rest in peace. Why not develop a cool new brand name and start thinking about producing a "killer" energy drink?

I think they are looking to segment the energy drink market - to appeal to people who perhaps wouldn't drink an e-drink.

They've already got three drinks that appeal to a pretty wide audience (Full Throttle, Rockstar, Von Dutch), along with their diet counterparts.

Fury is more of a KMX replacement - and I believe Tab Energy will be more targeted towards females, who you really don't see buying a lot of these drinks.

Full Throttle Fury is not on store shelves yet....it should be soon.....from what I hear it is somewhat hard to get right now.
TAB energy is going to be in a 10.5oz can---not a 8oz can.

10.5 oz? That's odd...

Fury is pretty much everywhere around my parts. No I have not tried and more than likely will not try as I do not partake in energy drinks.

Me too. I rather enjoy a ice cold Mountain Dew for my energy. :D

Why wont they just put the things that make and energy drink an energy drink into classic coke. that would taste great.

Man PBR has died several times and then some rapper/actor/ something will be seen drinking one and PBR is suddenly "THE" beer again, it is quite funny. My old man loves schiltz beer but can't find it anywhere within a couple hundred miles of him. He always says "I wish one of them punks would drink a schiltz instead of a dang Pabst so I could get some beer"

Women don't purchase energy drinks NEARLY as much as men do...I think they're out on a limb with this one. Also, Mr. Zabe mentioned a great point...the women that ARE drinking energy drinks are teens up to 30-something. None of them can relate to the "Tab" brand name. I don't know how all of that got past the team at Coke's HQ...

We started shipping it out of our warehouse today. Should be interesting to see how it does.

Where is your warehouse? Are you CCE or CCNA?

Alright, young 'uns... I am female and I was born the year Tab was introduced. When I started college there was no Diet Coke. I drank Tab out of glass bottles that cost a quarter in the vending machine. Yep. A Quarter. I am still drinking it. Don't care for Diet Coke, if you devleop a taste for Tab, Diet Coke is waaaayyy too sweet, although with lime it's not too bad. So don't be dissin' my Tab. It's become a fun game to try to find Tab, only those in the club know the sources. Check out this article http://www.newyorker.com/talk/content/articles/060206ta_talk_mcgrath I'm not alone.

Anyway, just tried Tab Energy. Not bad. And it's the first time I have liked an energy drink. We're out there, the Tab drinkers. Maybe Coca Cola is on to something.
