Thanks for the heads-up.

Something More Fruity, I'm guessing like a fruit punch taste, maybe going after the Sobe No Fear markit! But don't know for sure.

But usually, wouldn't an existing Full Throttle drinker try this new version? I don't know if they would be successful in attracting someone who drinks another brand or variety. It all depends on how its marketed I suppose.

I gave FT and FT Fury another shot, and I can not stop drinking regular FT! FTF is pretty good too, but half way through the can I am lost.

I'm all over this as a big fan of the FT line.

I JUST found Full Throttle Fury at WalMart , so this is the first Fury i've seen in Canada. My reaction? Good product extension. I'm eager to see the Blue Demon... even if I do have to wait like 6 months after it's launched to taste it.

Do you guys remember the BevBlog article about blue drinks being destined to fail? Hmm...

I recall for very long time up until 7-8 years ago,M & M's did not make blue M & M's. M & M Mars did studies which found (at that time) that most people did not want to put something blue in their mouths. It was something to do with the color blue not appearing natural/appealing to the consumer.

So is this just the name of the product? Is the can or liquid blue? Anyone know?

I worked 4 Lipton years ago when they came out with Fun Fruits (little deer dropping looking pressed fruit rolls),anyways they did a survey on the colors Kids liked in a candy/snack and Blue was at the top of the list, it was kinda funny though because they did not come out wit Blue untill a few years later.

I find it weird that everyone's always hatin' on Blue. I Love Blue!

Blue is always good and there aren't too many on the market in the energy drink category that I can think of. Boo Koo Berry, Xcyto and Stinger Raspberry are the ones that come immediately to mind.

It's going to have a blue agave flavor. Should be interesting...

I tried it at NACS it was good. Sweet Berry type flavor. Bright Blue Can, very striking compared to the original black can.

I love it! I hate the taste of the others in the Full Throttle line, but think one is great! I think it will be a hit (I hope I don't eat these words in a few months!)

Went into woodmans today, went to grab me a VAULT out of the cooler, when a blue can was noticed at the bottom of the cooler! it was Full Throttle Blue Demon! i grabbed 2, at 1.50 each, one for the trip home and one to photograph and drink tommorow. it tastes pretty good, but when chugged, has almost an alchol like taste to it. maybe my taster is just messed up. pics to come soon!

EDIT: 600th post and a new beverage! what a moment!

I'm a little disappointed in Blue Demon. HORRIBLE AFTERTASTE!!! HORRIBLE! TASTES LIKE NASTY MEDICINE! Still a good drink, but I was hoping it'd be better. Now I just have to wait for March '07 for my 15th b-day and vault red blitz

Vault red blitz? sounds interesting!

Hey Rob the surge drinker,

where is the woodman's you went to? I am wondering if I should check the one in Appleton, WI for this product. Do they tend to carry the same products?

Rob The SURGE Drinker

Janesville, and in all the woodmans i have been to, (5 of them), the product tends to differ a little bit, but the core products are the same. so what i am saying is, they might, and they might not.

I was up there this last Friday doing some beer shopping and I could not find the drink anywhere. I asked someone who worked there and they seemed way too confused. So I will keep on checking.

[/QB]I tried one of these yesterday, and agree on the slight alcohol like taste. This is because tequila is created from the blue agave plant, thus many will probably be reminded of the taste of tequila, possibly from a margarita.

I just tried it today. I've actually never tried any of the other Full Throttles, so I don't have anything to compare it to that way, but I thought it was excellent as far as ED's go! The taste reminded me of a cross between the Rockstar Guava and Sobe No Fear, with a bit of a guarana berry flavor also. All in all, well done. I had chilled mine so it was ice cold, which seems to make a big difference when I'm drinking an ED. I think if an ED has any bite to it, chilling it seems to mellow that out.
